22.7gb update after relogging?

Just happened to me as well.

There was a power outage where I live (which pissed me off even more for obvious reasons since we're in a heat wave) and when I started the PS4/FFXIV back up it did the "First time set up" and is now d/ling a 15gig+ patch. Generally I would leave the game logged in and PS4 in rest mode.

3 hours to patch. It's 9pm now and I was planning on playing until 10-11pm.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, but as a returning player with literally a few hours a week to play. It sucks the momentum and desire I had to start up again.

Needless to say as others are having issues too, this needs to be fixed. Regardless of power outage or other triggers, downloading the entirety and gigs upon gigs of patches when an error occurs is unacceptable.

I know this, after days & days of my PS4 held hostage to the launcher, I'd like to find the guy that wrote that launcher music & punch him in the face!

It almost a week since this happening to players and a thread of 44 pages and SE still did not fix it . At this rate they will drop support of PS4 faster than I thought.

No, I flat out refuse to do this. I've been building PCs since the 80s. In that time I have ammased TERABYTES of data (approx 8 Tb lol) in all that time I have NEVER felt the need for a UPS to protect such a large amount of data. Def not going to do so for a piddly 500Gb console! The whole reason I turned to console gaming was to make gaming life a little more simple now that I'm older.

7 day on vacation just for SB and what i get 22.7gb of redownload. Il try backup, yedterdasy i spend all night download i even see when de server when online, now i erased the game and i have to instal from 0. If theses doesent work i quit. I love the game is the best mmorpg that i ever,play i even understand the first issue whith tge launch of SB but these is just ..... i dont hsve words to expres the feelling that have to download 22.7 gb and after that 11gb arr, 1.7 HW and 22.7 for the launcher. I dont want my money i want play, enjoy the game. PD i don have problems whith energy is just a big failure of the sistem.
