    has this been resolved for anyone yet? this just happened to me (power outtage) and its gonna take 2 hours to download it. same exact patch as OP said they had to re download on PS4

    I can also confirm that this had happened to me and my brother on PS4.
    After our power fluctuated, we lost all of our patches/updates on both PS4. I'm currently redownloading the 22GB patch as I write....

    Anyone know what's going to happen when We actually get the physical copy on release day tomorrow? Or will it still have us download this problem even with the disc?

    Just ran into this issue after like a second-long power outage. Thought it would go by fast till my internet took a nosedive. Now I'm looking at 2000+ minutes of download time. Hopefully the official launch fixes this since outages are gonna be common with the weather we've been having :/

    Happened to me just a second ago, a fuse blew in my house, changed it, tried logging in and its downloading 22.7GB of data now, 180 minute to go, sigh.

    Same problem here

    Im having this problem as well, tho mine only happen if my PS4 freezes, or has a sudden failure of some sort, I can log out and in and even restart my system normally, and its not a problem, I hope its fixed soon

    maybe this isn't just an unfortunate accident? squeenix?

    this just happened to me and my brother. power outage and boom: update. halfway into the update we got an error saying it couldn't download patch so we contacted support. we're downloading the whole game again. we'll see if it fixes the problem. (also i think it's curious how this has happened to so many people in exactly the same way.)

    Total Bullshit.

    Same thing just happened to me, but unlike you guys, I didn't lose power at all. My PS4 froze up while I was browsing the PS store on the console. I had to force it to power off, and now this morning, this happens. Isn't this the same issue? Cause my system was updated before this happened to me.

    [Follow-up]Regarding an Ongoing Issue with the PlayStation®4 Version (Jun. 15): Follow-up
    This is a follow-up regarding the issue wherein players on the PlayStation®4 version receive a “CE-30022-7” error when attempting to launch the game after updating.

    The results of the investigation we performed with Sony Interactive Entertainment show that this error occurs when the following conditions have been met.

    ■Conditions that lead to the error
    ・Making an entire backup of or restoring the data on the PlayStation®4 system when FINAL FANTASY XIV is installed.
    ・Transferring data from another PlayStation®4 when FINAL FANTASY XIV is installed.

    Since it has been confirmed that this issue can be addressed by updating the PlayStation®4 system software, we had Sony Interactive Entertainment perform a PlayStation®4 system software update on Jun. 22, 2017.

    We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to these circumstances, we ask that user of the PlayStation®4 version please update their PlayStation®4 system software to the latest version.

    *If users are currently experiencing this issue and a CE-30022-7 error occurs, the issue will be resolved without having to reinstall FINAL FANTASY XIV by updating the PlayStation®4 system software.
