22.7gb update after relogging?

I have downloaded th game again. Played a little this morning and now I have closed the application and turned off my PS4 because it has been on for 3 days now downloading this thing. I'm afraid that when I get home I'll have to download that devilish patch again. If that happens I'm cancelling my sub for good. We need this to be acknowledged by SE or just get together and agree on suspending the sub all of us so we can at least get our voice heard.

At least this topic is at the top sinc the stupid bottle neck has been kind of fixed.

A heads up for everyone asking for acknowledgement of this error. It WILL NEVER HAPPEN! A few months ago, a lot of ps4 users had an issue where we could not log in due to the launcher "Unable to complete version check" right after an update. It was all over the forums and on reddit. In order for me to play I had to download the file from my pc and transfer it to the ps4 via usb drive. They never did acknowledge that issue and they won't this one either.

And yes. I also have had to redownload the files.

ps. I was remembering wrong. I had to mess with my dns servers to get the launcher to work.

I put my PS4 in rest mode and left the app open last night and it didn't make me redownload this time. Temporary fix if you can leave your PS4 plugged in and have no power outages I guess.

Avoid logged out and turn the console off at all cost !

Just happened to me. Got 90k then spent over an hour in the queue. Power went out while I'm queue now I have to download the entire game again. This is absolutely ridiculous.

cant say its happened to me but for those it has and you successfully download, DO A STEAM BACKUP if you have the steam client!, as for the "experience" of this. as someone whos played 6 years of XI, Welcome to "Fresh Install" Syndrome (where a clean install would result in a 7hr total update time. expically if you playe don PS2/X360 while Console support was still live,)

3rd time for me. I live in an area where I have constant power outages and I have been playing since arr and I have never seen this issue before, as other players have said SE silence is bad in this case. do they actually pay attention to the forums for issues like this, or they only pay attention to the issues that trend on social media?

if they don't fix this soon I will have to stop playing this game, as much as I love it I cannot download 22gb every time there is a power outage (in my case almost every day) and wait for 6 hours to download

Our power flickered and now my wife's PS4 is doing this, so we have it too. We actually don't even have Stormblood yet and the plan was to finish the last few quests this weekend. So much for that.

Holding off on the Stormblood purchase until all the issues are resolved, I think. I can't justify paying $80 for us to each have a copy when it is truly unplayable. :/

I sent a message directly to NA customer support. Maybe if enough players with 800+ days of subscriptions start demanding their monthly fee be refunded it will get their attention.
