This issue still isn't fixed yet. Lmao. This is a huge middle finger from SE to ps4 subbers.

I can't believe they haven't even SAID anything, let alone fixed this yet. =\ This is probably the most gamebreaking bug I've seen in a long time, so you'd expect it to be a massive priority. I've tweeted AskPlaystation repeatedly since SE was blaming Sony essentially, but I couldn't get an answer.
This has been happening for weeks. Why hasn't this been fixed yet? Just got home from work. Excited to play. Power goes out. ETA 323 minutes. Guess 'Ill play tomorrow. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yep... So this is still happening eh? My power just dropped and another terrible download begins. Guess it's time to invest in a UPS :x
They dont fix this yet its happen to me 4times this is ridiculous . 1 month without any solution..and it take 47hr for dl -.- to me..I know you won't refund our playtime -.- but .........ck
For the first time, this has happened to me. Power went out for roughly an hour and I come back to a 22.7G download. I've lost power before and never saw this... This is frustrating. Its estimate is 5hours. I'm going to come back to a 2k world que as usual just adds fuel to to the flames of frustration. *Sigh*
Whelp.. I called Sony to ask them and got hung up on, and then I tried live chat and the guy said they had no reports of this issue and no information, and kept telling me to contact Square Enix even after I showed him this thread and showed him the notice of Square Enix saying they were waiting on Sony. I explained to him repeatedly that someone had to know SOMETHING since they're supposedly fixing it, but nope.. That's encouraging.

Jesus... It's so bad that they just redirected you in a circle like this. It really is a game of blame. Well, we're probably not going to see any fix anytime soon since the two companies seem completely uncoordinated in their own communication with each other, which definitely sucks.Whelp.. Just got this issue as well.
If the only true solution is to actually redownload everything, I will not be able to play this game again.
My download speed during patches is 0.18 MB at best. Paired with the incessant "Unable to download patch files" message, it took me more than three days to download Stormblood with its ~6 GB. I had to babysit the download the entire time, canceling the download every 20-50 MB so that it would "save" my progress and stave off the patch files message.
Redownloading the entire thing is an irritant to some, but to me it is not really a possibility on my internet.

Thanks SE, in conjunction with... SE? lol, Just realized both these companies have SE... Anyways, listen. I'd like to thank you for corrupting my HDD's files today. I was able to get a lot done in the 3-4 Hours it took to RE-DOWNLOAD 22GB OF FILES AT 4-5Mbps.
First I started by cleaning up a little bit. I also cleaned the dishes. I took out the trash, and I walked the dogs, watched an episode of iZombie. I also contemplated the meaning of life, watched a few videos of funny animals on YouTube, and posted on social media. I updated my resume and I repaired a few electronics around the house. I also messaged a few old friends and family.
So thanks, Square Enix and Sony Entertainment, because today, your consistent failure to solve virtually every issue presented to you in a timely manner no matter how big or small when it comes to PS4 Players, enabled me to give myself the time to do the things I would've done anyways after I finished playing, instead of using your product that us PS4 players pay a premium subscription fee to-... Well, I was going to say "play", but since I'm really just feeding my ISP my money to simply download your game over and over, I'll go with "be fed vaguely concocted responses about how you've laid the problem on another company who doesn't require them to re-download any OTHER game title every time they suffer a power outage", because it sounds more... truthful.
You know what might help the situation though? An technical update on the issue, not just another "We're talking to Sony... they're just not talking back", styled announcement. Free advice for you, because well, I think you need it.
