    OK... Now I'm actually posting about this problem! It's been a stormy weekend and there have three power outages. Twice I was at me keyboard and one time I was afk taking lunch. Last week there was only one power outage, but my wife was playing on our other box at the same time which resulted in two more downloads. That's a total of about 12 hours of gameplay spent coping with SquareEnix and PSN ineptitude in ONE WEEK. I can honestly say that I'm considering the option to unsubscribe from the game. However, I know that will only hurt me since my money isn't worth much in the grand scheme. Should I stop playing and power down at the first sight of rain? Is that the tech service scripted response you lot are repeating?

    Well, still with this problem happening, got a power outage today, and need download 20gb because of it. Any predictions when this will be fixed?

    I am currently having to re-download the 22+ GB for the 6th or 7th time now since Early Access. This is a serious problem that really ought to be getting a higher priority than it seems to be actually receiving.

    The area I live in FL storms almost daily in the Summer and the lights are very prone to flickering. I have been trying to be cautious and just log out of the game whenever I hear thunder, but it seems to keep getting me in dungeon runs where that's not a thing that I could (or even should) just immediately do. Especially as I often play healer and don't want to feel like I'm just leaving the group on its butt because I am worried about an issue that should not even be an issue in the first place.

    Also one of the times was just because the system itself went into rest mode while I was on the game, so that was great.

    4th time....but at this point i cant expect this to ever get fixed so i had actually ordered a ups off the internet and it should be here tomorrow...we shouldnt be the ones looking for solutions to your fuck ups SE, or even Sony if its really on them. In the end its beneficial to my electronics to get a ups but it shouldnt be something i NEED at this point to feel my game is safe while playing.....

    Tries your fix, didnt work. Thx for actually trying to give us a fix even if its just temporary unlike SE/Sony

    I really don't see how Square Enix can blame this on Sony. I purchased the collectors edition of FFXIV:ARR back in May of 2014. From then until May of 2017 I have had ZERO problems with ANY of my PS4 games when the power went out. Then came June 2017 and the 4.0 software. A little additional info: If you have only ARR, or the free trial version & your PS4 is not shut down properly, you get the first time install and a 16GB download. If you have purchased Heaven's Ward, you get a 19GB download, if you also have purchased StormBlood, you get the full 22GB download. They have updated the launcher since all this started, they pressured Sony into releasing a system update early, and still it's not fixed. Wake up Square Enix, the common demoninator is your 4.0 software!

    Why did I unplug it in rest mode :(

    Ya, Also experiencing this currently. I have not had 1 problem with the 4.0 update (I am on a Ps4 PRO) regarding entering rest mode or exiting the game while the client is active. Then I go and do the unthinkable and move my Pro to a new position, completely oblivious to the rest mode indicator. Load then game up and BAM. Another one bites the dust. It is very unacceptable though as I see people who have had to download it constantly. That blows because it is such a great game, but no game is worth a 2+ hour download (get like 5mb/s here) every time you want to play.

    Just happened to me for the 8th time since early access. I'm on a 1gbit line yet your launcher caps at 5mb/s..

    You might need to bite the bullet and recode the launcher and optimize it to today's standards, especially since it's in C#.

    We've waited and waited on anything remotely helpful and yet nothing has been done.

    Might be time to start asking for some form of compensation on this..
