Trolls gotta troll. If you stop feeding them they get bored and wander off to try and get a rise out of someone else![]()
I think this should be a thing...
Refunds all round or at least an extension for those with the loyalty, if there are still loyal players of the game.
I've been playing since 2014, these types of problems don't get attention until people start making it a public thing. I quit the game 3 times because of issues.. I came back.. this is just daylight robbery.
I've lost 1 weeks of my gameplay after installing (downloading patch) over a week. Still hasn't been sorted so...what do i do with the game time I have left?
Listen guys I've experienced my first power outage for about 5 seconds yesterday, and of course I had to re download the entire patch, however I'm thinking that a possible fix or resolution for this could be simple.
Okay so yea listen the next time anyone has a power outage while playing the game DO NOT IMMEDIATELY TURN ON YOUR PS4 console following a power surge, but instead AFTER THE PS4 shuts down due to the power outage MAKE SURE YOU ENTER INTO SAFE MODE WHEN YOU TURN ON YOUR CONSOLE AGAIN VIA HOLDING IN THE POWER BUTTON FOR AROUND 7 to 8 seconds until you hear two beeps, then once into safe mode immediately HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 7 to 8 seconds until you hear two beeps to perform a hard shut down from safe mode, and then once the ps4 has been shut back down again then repeat the initial safe mode boot process again, and upon entering into safe mode make sure to choose the rebuild database option which usually only takes a few minutes to complete, and don't worry it will say it might take a long time but it won't trust me it takes just a few seconds to a few minutes at most, and I have this feeling that if we do it this way then the Final Fantasy launcher may not have the chance to realize the power outage ever happened, and so make sure to try this possibly solution, and then please respond I am curious to know if this works for everyone as I would be extremely over joyed to know I helped out my fellow players.
here we go, downloading the game for the 3rd FUCKING TIME this weekend.
Just want to add my 2 cents. jic someone from Sony is actually following this 103 page thread. This happened to me twice in the last week. Once during a known power outage and once for no reason that I know of (left the game on in the back ground and came home to find out that it required a fresh download). Both events happen >2 but <7 days ago. Download time 6 hours if I can make sure no one in the house it using the internet; imagine 3 teenagers and a wife (that is quite infatuated with Netflix, especially allllll night). If folks are on the internet it estimates a 2 day download (luckily I can cheek in and turn nettles off at approximately 3:33am).
One of the hardest gaming choices I had to make was leaving FFXI in 2004 due to poor customer service. This game is really awesome so far. I hope this is taken car of. Continuous 6+ hours download is not a sustainable condition in my house.
Listen I don't think it's fair you're telling others to grow up alright it's been nearly a month with no such fix or resolution from square Enix, and this is absolutely unacceptable as these people pay money each month to play this game, and the fact that some of them have had to repeatedly download this patch again n again is totally unacceptable as you can't play other games you can't watch PlayStation vue, you can't do anything while the launcher re patches itself, and there is no worse feeling then sitting down for a nice enjoyable few hours of Final Fantasy only to have a sudden power surge or power outage n then be forced to have to download the patch all over again ruining your chance n opportunity to play. I think it's totally crazy you wanna call someone immature or tell them to grow up because they're upset n frustrated over an issue that's totally unacceptable, and the fact is squared Enix is making millions of dollars per month off this game, and the fact that this issue has been ongoing for nearly a month is absolutely ridiculous, and they're getting away with this type of unacceptable behavior because there are people like you which wanna pretend this isn't a big deal or it's not a reason to get extremely angry n frustrated because it's very much a serious problem, and for you to try to downplay the issue or tell others to grow up is part of the problem as you accept this sort of lack luster treatment of serious issues of which render a game unplayable for hours upon hours & days upon days for some people depending on the speed of their internet connections, and so yea honestly I feel as though you need to grow up because it's extremely childish n immature for you to be calling out others who are clearly upset n frustrated paying for a service which has been having the same unresolved issue for nearly a month, and these gamers are well within their rights to be as frustrated as they wanna be
I never once said to stop complaining. Keep on complaining and i will continue to do as well until this is fixed. However, some responses here are freaking ridiculous and lack even the most common decency. So no, I won't stop telling people (most likely everyone one of them adults) to grow up.Listen I don't think it's fair you're telling others to grow up alright it's been nearly a month with no such fix or resolution from square Enix, and this is absolutely unacceptable as these people pay money each month to play this game, and the fact that some of them have had to repeatedly download this patch again n again is totally unacceptable as you can't play other games you can't watch PlayStation vue, you can't do anything while the launcher re patches itself, and there is no worse feeling then sitting down for a nice enjoyable few hours of Final Fantasy only to have a sudden power surge or power outage n then be forced to have to download the patch all over again ruining your chance n opportunity to play. On the decent behavior issue, I agree. If you had a Black & Decker tool that malfunctioned, and could not get satisfaction from Cust Service, you wouldn't go on their forums dropping the F-bomb in every other sentance. An unprofessional post would be ignored by the company. But because it's a game, you think swearing your head off in a forum post is going to get you the attention you desire from Square Enix? Seriously....I never once said to stop complaining. Keep on complaining and i will continue to do as well until this is fixed. However, some responses here are freaking ridiculous and lack even the most common decency. So no, I won't stop telling people (most likely everyone one of them adults) to grow up.
