22.7gb update after relogging?

Saw a SE rep on Reddit asking players to post at this thread if they experienced the same problem, so here I am lol.

Similar to many people: power outage in the area took place and now there's a 22G file downloading after restart. I also have the PC version which of course doesn't have this problem. Hope a solution to fix can be discovered soon ;w;

Sign me up for the salt fest. I just got done working one of the longest shifts of my career and ALL I WANT in this world is to sit down and veg out some FF14, but we had a storm this afternoon and as I was sorting out my inventory I lost power. Now I'm looking at a 7.5 hour DL.

SE, please. We are not 2nd class citizens just because we play on a console.

At the very least credit us some days for this bug. This is ridiculous.

I'm another person this has now happened to. Power flickered and went out and now I'm having to re-download the whole FF 14 game again.

This happens to my brother a lot, too. He plays on PS4 exclusively, and has to redownload it EVERYTIME even the smallest thing happens! He used to play on my PS4 before getting his own, and both require the 22g download now. I honestly hope Sony finds a fix soon, because this isn't SE's fault. They didn't develop the hardware, it's all on Sony.

The game should be compatible with the hardware not the the other way around

Had this happen twice this week. First was my PS4 overheated on Wednesday ... it was sitting on my surround sound amp so moved it. Just happened a second time tonight when power went out due to a storm in the area. Both times required a massive 23 gig download to re-patch game. This is eating into my max one terabyte download rate for the month and burning hours of game time at roughly 7 hours a pop. All I wanted to do was play 14 and catch up with my friends. Crap like locks me out of the game. If this keeps happening, I may have no choice but to unsubscribe and play a less buggy game. I'm coming on here begging for a solition for PS4 players and buying a gaming rig computer is not reasonable. Help me Obiwan Kenobi, you are my only help.

Has anyone had any luck getting a refund from Square? i bought a 60 day timecard from amazon and used it on my account, i have yet to dip into the 60 days (had 24 already on the account) i also bought an 18$ server transfer and want a refund on both.

Hello. I just had a power outage. I went to load client and was met with the download ffxiv-H2017.06.06.0000.0001a. The time for download to complete:2800 minutes at .20MB/s.
I was not aware of this issue until moments ago...lol...after experiencing it, then searching the issue, and then having a Reddit lead me to this thread.
I am upset along with the others who've had this issue.
It seems to be not getting any response.
I understand those suggesting battery backups, and I will go and purchase one tomorrow. I am able to do so. I am certain others are not. But, I believe the backup is a sound suggestion. However, it is not a fix.
If you wish to make this known in a grander way, please respond with your thread link. We need to move outside of this thread into public view.
SE has made known their intention to have FFXIV be available to as many consoles as possible.
We, as paying consumers of FFXIV, have a right to voice our concern for our suffering, and we, again as a paying consumer, have a responsibilty to provide our gaming community with the treatment and service input we receive from companies we pay to enjoy our love of online gaming--specifically the FFXIV brand and SONY Entertainment.
Up until this occurred, and then my discovery of how common it has become with the Stormblood patch, I believed both SE and SONY did a great job with we PlayStation consumers.
I don't believe so now. Please repost your thread if you would like to move outside of this forum to a more public view. I will devote a bit of time to the issue. Thanks & Kweh(shame on you SE). I for one have a strong connection to your Final Fantasy franchise that shares the length of the series--all 30 years. Please do not harm that relationship.
