Ah but we LOST thunder 1, remember? Not to mention everyone else lost the cross class skills. All bonus skills that could have crossed from marauder to archer, no longer exist. Or say using flash on a lancer or pugilist to try and save the healer? No more.

Yes it got traded for a stronger version with tge exact same cast time as r1 and slightly high mp cost which is neutralized by casting it during your ice phase. Which you should be doing. Casting thunder during ice phase.

It may not make points less valid, but by stating I don't understand jargon, should let people know that if they dumb it down for me, I'm cool with that. Instead they keep using jargon, making me feel I have to open up another browser tab to google the words used just to understand what's going on. I've only been playing games like, half my life, the jargon being used in this game, nothing like my original favorites.

Suffice it to say, I'm displeased with how they took the game. They didn't have to do certain things, but they did, aiming to gear it more towards full party play, when I don't play that way.

Its not jargon though its litetally what the system calls your phases Astral Fire 1-3, Umbral Ice 1-3, Thunder 1-3, Fire 4 etc.

Its shortened to AF1-3 (weakest to strongest attack power buff) or UI 1-3 (lowest to highest mp regeneration per tick)

T1/3 weakest to strongest single target DoT

T2/4...etc

But here let me explain the what and why of a blm at low levels if thats ok

At the start of a fight (assuming vs 1 to 2 targets) you use blizzard 1/3 (when you get it at level 48) to start your mp regen (even at max mp) you cast thunder 3 then immediately start casting fire 3 by the time you finish casting fire 3 your mp will have returned completely.

After casting fire 3 all mp regen is cut off and your damage is boosted by 80% for all fire named attacks

Once your mp is too low to cast fire 1 you transpose back into umbral ice to redo it

Once you learn blizzard 3 youll replace transpose with blizzard 3. Never transpose into astral fire its a waste of mp.

The moment you start to feel over whelmed you cast sleep to sleep the multiple targets and fight each one 1v1 to mitigate damage. Use manaward to further low damage to hp.

If they are immune or have become immune to over use of sleep use Freeze to bind them, step out of their range and engage 1 at a time.

You still have access to heavy its called Break but Blm benefits the least from it.

? Blm has thunders 1-4 DoTs, Smn has Bio 3 and miasma 3, Sam has hagane, Bard has both DoTs, Drg still has its DoT, i think monks demolish is still a dot (correct me if im wrong)

I main NIN now and lost all three of my DoT abilities, Sharp Fang, Mutilate and the Ninjutsu skill that does AoE earth damage that I can never remember the name of. That is a rather substantial loss in DoT

You still have shadow fang which is a DoT and you still have Doton which is a DoT.

You only lost mutilate.

Why is it that none of those skills are listed in the skill list? When I logged on all the skills I listed were greyed out with a red bar across them. After I removed them from my hot bar I checked to see if they had to have some new requirement to use only to find them no longer listed
