What needs to happen, is people need to log off and go to bed, and let some people through. We are having these problems because the servers are just inundated with ridiculous floods of people all trying to do the same things at once.

If they don't do maintenance, people will eventually get tired of the waits, log off, and go to bed which is exactly what needs to happen.

If they did maintenance, then you force everybody to log off (which hinders progress), and then set a time that everybody can set their alarms to, so that they can all try to log on simultaneously, and we're back to square-freaking-one all over again.

Maintenance is not the answer. It would only make matters worse.

I love how your white knight answer to everything is its the players who should be actively trying to make their shit server work, not the company themselves who have already taken our money and are now just fucking around. If they server cannot handle the player bases during EA before and after a maintenance than they fucked up plain and simple. Fix your shit Square.

Now I'm just angry. First day of early access wasted. Can't do DFs with even new jobs, just Fate farming and d/cing all day and trying to get into this instance. This could have easily been rectified if they gave us a waiting list number instead of making us continuously click over and over again, and people are going to spam all night. They aren't going to stop. They want in and they will wait forever for it if they have to. So, fix it soon or I seriously hope we get some sort of refund/in-game bonus for basically buying a preorder for early access and getting a horrible beta gone wrong.

without the bottleneck, the instance servers will simply start crashing again like they were doing when the servers came up after the maint. It's a lose lose situation at the moment. At least this way players can remain connected.
