my guess would be, you would be playing at 25-33% of what the games graphics can offer.

This isn't too far different than my own.

I have better CPU and lower GPU than you, and the wattage seems low, but maybe I'm mistaken.
I currently run at most settings at low, draw distance 5, and texture filtering at standard, to help make the game look a bit better.
To show you what i see, here is a picture

RIGHT CLICK and hit view image, to see at full size, to get a better idea.

edit: keep most in game options off, and make it cap FpS at 30.
This way you can avoid spikes of lag.

Also if the game lags a bit, and FpS drop more than 30 (outside of town) try to lower the settings. it can be really bad for your PC if you strain it too much.

I have the same video card and run FFXIV on my smaller 1280x1024 monitor at standard foreground and background distance, but with lower shadows and texture filtering. I can run it in 1080p as well, but with choppier framerate. What may limit your experience isn't the video card here, but the CPU. This game is very CPU intensive, keeping it running warm almost constantly, and I have a quad-core 3.2 Ghz Phenom II.

upgrade the processor to 3.0 min this game is cpu heavy. ive heard people run the game fine on that gpu so that should be ok.

My Phenom II @3.4 runs with a load of 50% on all cores, a 2.4GHz CPU should run it fine.

    No. with celeron^^

    You can buy a soket 1155 I5 or I7

    Like 2400 2500 or 2600

And then with your 5770 you can enjoy FFXIV in a decent way (if you not play in full HD)

    Is celeron a cpu? O.O
I thought it was a csu... aka central slowdown unit.

Anyway, i meant an i5 sandy bridge cpu, the 2500 should be enough.
