I remember at one of the fanfests wasnt there a question about replaying solo instances whenever we want, it was laughed off by saying to make a new account, i guess there was a deeper reason afterall

Finally made it in around an hour ago! Still huge congestion on the server though for many others. Glad to be through.
This is absolutely sickening. Would it be so hard, to allocate all resources to the MSQ instances for 2 hours, so we can "break open" the expansion and get past this. There is nothing to do! You cannot do anything! CLOSE POTD, CLOSE PVP, CLOSE EVERYTHING except the MSQ for an hour our 2 would solve the problem!
I'm not accepting your BS copy and paste response SE. I've got friends who can't even finish the 2nd to last main story quest to even get to stormblood. Why didn't you just roll out job changes, UI and new jobs before the expansion? I've literally paid for a new game I've done nothing but old content on... this is f%$@ retarded.
We'd run into the same problem to a lesser degree. There are plenty more instances and any one of them COULD bottleneck, though if players could get to Kugane there would be plenty of other stuff for them to do :TThis is absolutely sickening. Back in FFXI, we just queued up ourselves as civil people would and wait our turn.
Perhaps it was because the servers weren't so region specific, perhaps it was because gamers back then had more sense.
It might be silly to wait like that in a game, but you know everyone gets their turn in the end, without the need to spam the node like crazy.

This is a unfortunate issue yes, but it won't stop people from swarming around him and mashing it over and over (while complaining constantly at the same time ingame!). At least cut down on that second part...
XI had an older and much more patient player base. We also had very little real instanced content when the game was at its peak. That being said the only time anyone ever "made a line" was for the signal pearl quest where you had to kill the dragon. That was it. Instanced content Dynamis had a calendar that was followed due to it being beneficial to wait and you risked being blacklisted from good ls's.

If a line would actually solve the issue it would be done. But unfortunately, with how the instancing works, you would have to manage to get every person on every instance of the zone across every server on the data center to line up in order to get that to work.Back in FFXI, we just queued up ourselves as civil people would and wait our turn.

I honestly just wish they would allow us to skip any instanced quests. Or they just allow me to explore the other zones. I could at least entertain myself for a few days running around gathering currents and exploring XD
