Keyboard Input Delay since stormblood 6/16/17

Follow maintenance the start of early access to Stormblood I've been experiencing severe keyboard input delay. Pressing any button fails to yield a result until a full one second later. Given that I play on PC this is quite distressing as the game might as well be untouchable at the moment. At this point I've done everything I could think of: update drives, fiddle with graphics settings, and even switch keyboards. Short of an entirely different computer (which i do not have) I don't know what to do. Anyone else have a similar problem and maybe a solution?

Hard to say for sure, but my guess is the lag you're experiencing is due to the heavy server loads and slow processing on their end, not yours. Never been here for an expansion launch, but this always happened in SWTOR when expansions would launch and the servers were under a lot of stress from the influx of new/returning players. I'm stuck at work all day but hoping this clears up before tonight...except I'm afraid I'll be in queue forever anyway (Gilgamesh).

Im dealing with the same issue and have tried pretty much everything i can do except reinstall the game.

Some of the things i tried:
- Updated all my drivers
- Restarted the PC
- Reset all game configurations
- Tried a Different keyboard & USB port

None of that worked.
I also tried contacting the Support desk but got no answer so far im guessing they are pretty busy right now.

at least i'm not the only one, makes me feel better that it's not necessarily my computer but with the game. I tried all the exact same things as you, doing the full client reinstall now.

Yeah I'm no technician or support guy, but I'm almost positive the input lag is due to high server loads right now.

Okay so after reinstalling my game at time of typing this the keyboard issues were gone. No idea how/if it ties into the larger server loads though

and after getting forced out and logging back in it's back. caching issue maybe?

Okay for real this time believe i narrowed down the problem. it has to do with Logitech's gaming software and whatever update final fantasy made to it. My logitech headset was the culprit (of all things). Going into the logitech gaming software, clicking the cog and unchecking the box "Allow games to control illumination" has cured the keyboard input lag. I confirmed this by toggling on and off a couple times. I'm fine when it's off, and I have issues when I turn it on.
