Erase ist for party members only, not for self... That's what bothers me.

To the others: If i wanna keep a party alive and going i queue up as my WHM. Simple as that. As a BLM i really don't wanna keep an eye to debuffs. This is not WoW where a druid can heal, tank and dps... A bit of everything but nothing perfect.

This so this! I play RDM now and I'm sorry but I won't be using erase nor sacrificing 20% of my mana to a healer. This isn't my role sure I will throw out a res to help the healers out but if I do then Imma need my mana plus a healer should be on the ball you can easily cancel a cast to remove the debuff I should know as I use to main healer.

I'd rather have physic back than drain. I hate that i have to be in a fight in order to cure myself. I hate that i am not able to toss the healer a physic if (s)he's close to death. I hate that i can't cure my chocobo anymore.

Oh and btw. SE pls take erase of BLM's... It is not our job to watch the party list for debuffs and erase them from party members only. OK? Thanks!

Just like its your job to supply mana to a starving healer if theres no bard around.

Just like it was/is your job to apoc a tank on pull.

If you see someones suffering from a status and the healers too busy it becomes your job as a dps to ease the groups problem while dishing out dps.

In a dun scaith I did as a bard prior to the expansion.
I saw doom on two party members, we had a healer down, and the other healer was busy with the kerfuffle going on...

I popped paeon on the other bard, clearing his doom, and...
They didn't cleanse the other player and that player died shortly after....

And the funny thing is Erase with its added effect of cure better fits WHM's concept as a "pure healer" rather than what it has in Esuna which only removes a debuff

The healer might not even have Esuna now. It will happen. So if you have Erase set and they don't have Esuna you're going to feel silly for not helping if it would save a fight.

I wish it was usable on all others, not just party members. It's fine not to be self-castable (it wasn't in FFXI IIRC?) but the devs get a bit tunnel visioned on instanced content - it was nice being able to save random new players dying in FATEs with Physick!
