The main point he has is that Conjurers are stuck with a single cure and no AoE cure for most of the current leveling curve, not the actual potency of that one spell.

That said, I don't think it's a problem with the way low level content is being handled.
Shopshae, Toto-rak, caravan security, levequests, behests, level 25 ifrit battle, all of those are balanced towards light parties.

With only 4 players, an AoE cure is hardly needed. Sure, it would be handy, but not exacltly unbalanced. Specially since anyone can self heal with cure after killing 3 or 4 rats.

Not to mention Sacred Prism is level 34 (grants AoE to one healing spell) and is not class exclusive.

    Bull's eye.

Previously we had "choices" to make, wether it was AoE spells, more powerful spell, cheaper spell or a HoT-like mechanic, you had "choices" to make, and making choices is what made the gameplay entertaining, it was what added depth to the gameplay and what showed the difference against someone who has skills compared to those who have not.

I don't care about the single-tier model, I'm fine with that on other games I have no issues with the change in FFXIV.
But they need to keep "depth" of choices.
THM lost all of the healing capabilities, we're stuck with a single job with healing capabilities that is suppoed to heal with a single spell for 30 levels and gets no AoE spell for 48 levels.

I'm saying that from my point of view this is a game-design flaw and a sign that they are underestimating the importance of the game-experience players have to face while levelling, thinking only about people who already have CNJ 50.
I'm not saying they should focus on levelling, that would be preposterous, but the current situation prospected by the 1.20 patch just doesn't seem to be enough.

I fail to understand how people come to decide they are ready to dissect mechanics, and criticize all sorts of things, to which they don't, and haven't had, any form of access.

You do realize, don't you, that (despite your claim) you actually lack the view in your point of view? You seem to expect, based on conjectures and previous experience, that things will follow the formulations of your brain; but you don't KNOW that they will. I would be inclined to think that previous experience is not adequate equipment to sit down to judge what is to come in the game.

Now, if your conjectures are correct, and they manage to align with the reality of the game when it is released in full form, then I will, at my time, cheer you on, as well as your complaints. But I think it's a tidge early for any of that.

Could you do me a favor and copy/paste this into about half the threads on this board? If even 1% of the OPs here had this click in their noggins, the boards would be a better place...
