Unfortunately, unless my game's settings bugged out, it resets to its previous size every time you oog out.
I tried this and nothing happens, it just advances the dialogue.
I don't see any such option. You have to right click and hold, while holding you can then left click the scale window option
Again, why can't it just be in the HUD layout options like everything else?
100% main menu and npc dialog way too small, 150% display names/hover text way too big, either way really hurts the eyes... please fix soon SE!
Again, when I click it just advances the dialog. No menu options appear for me, even if I hold.
Are you using the right button? Left click does advance the dialog, have to use right click and continue to hold for the menu to stay up. Otherwise right click will advance also if don't hold. Otherwise I don't know what kind of settings you are using.
SE please, just put both the NPC dialog and the (crossbar style) main menu in the HUD Layout menu where they belong, so we can resize them in the natural place where people will look for the ability to do so. Oh, and while you're at it, put all the hidden windows for where various notifications appear there, too.
It's ridiculous to have to track down obscure hidden features like turn on mouse mode then hold R2 while pressing L2 as well (which you don't do anywhere else and isn't documented) to bring up a hidden menu. You clearly added a resize feature to the dialog box. Why hide it like that, when we have a whole HUD Layout section specifically for doing such things?

Thank you for the hint! It works wonders! I can get around the tiny menu but the dialog box were really a downer. Here's a fix for the dialogue boxes.
Enable expanded mouse functionality in the system settings
Find an npc to talk to
Enable virtual mouse with L1 + R3
Move the virtual mouse over the text box and hold R2
Change the scaling to increase the dialog box size
For some reason you can't access the scaling menu without expanded mouse functionality enabled.
For those having trouble with the simulated right click be sure to be talking with a npc. For some reason you can't access the right click menù if you're into a cutscene of a main quest
