I can't read any of the dialogue. And you can't change the size of dialogue text in the UI settings at all. This needs an urgent fix, can't play through any of the new content without being able to read what NPC's are saying.

It's pretty bad. So far I've been trying to tweak my UI since release. I tried 150% and everything was HUGE.
Temporary solution:
>Go To System Configuration
>User Interface Size: 100%
-This will restore the names to normal size but names only
>Go to Default UI Size and set to: 120%(or whatever you're comfortable with) then select "Apply All"
>Manually resize anything that you want bigger or smaller than 120% by pressing R3. This means every single menu box
>Tweak Hotbars or whatever and done.
>End result should be a somewhat similar screen to your 3.x version but there are drawbacks that can't be fixed right now including:
-Dialogue boxes smaller
-Tooltips smaller and at a different area of the screen.
I hope this helps
This is pretty much what I've been doing for the past hour and a half. But without being able to fix the dialogue box size, all story content on PS4 is currently unplayable. It's pretty bad. So far I've been trying to tweak my UI since release. I tried 150% and everything was HUGE.

Change user interface size and play with default ui size, sort of works but switching to 150% on user size ends up making names hideously large... anyway to change size of names? If not then yeah please fix this soon SE not sure why this got changed...
Here's a fix for the dialogue boxes.
Enable expanded mouse functionality in the system settings
Find an npc to talk to
Enable virtual mouse with L1 + R3
Move the virtual mouse over the text box and hold R2
Change the scaling to increase the dialog box size
For some reason you can't access the scaling menu without expanded mouse functionality enabled.

You beat me to it. I had just logged on to answer this...but hey, maybe you can help with the second issue plaguing me. The main menu for ants. Have you found a way to sale it up? It was annoying me so much I just switched to the PC main menu, but I really do prefer the PS4 one.

THANK YOU FOR THIS.Here's a fix for the dialogue boxes.

Was having to strain my eyes even with my glasses on, this was a huge help.
Hopefully they'll be able to fix it for other parts too soon, like the system messages and main menu. Since right now it's really annoying, and the 100/150 toggle option is just terrible. 150 bulges everything out to the point it becomes a ridiculous clutter...
Hello adventurers!
Apologies for the inconvenience the display settings may have caused you.
The display settings have changed with Stormblood’s Early Access and therefore the UI can look small. You can change the User Interface Size on PS4:
Go to System Configuration -> Display Settings -> User Interface Size 150%
I hope this helps!

Sorry, as addressed in this very thread, it does not. It makes everything too oversized to the point it isn't even all on screen; the complete opposite spectrum of the issue.Hello adventurers!

This looks far too big though. Is there no chance that you could expand the options for this to include text sizes between 100 and 150?Hello adventurers!
