SE made this game AST only, why?

The removal of sustain is probably the biggest mystery for me. Especially since there doesn't seem to have been anything added or altered to compensate. Egis will die faster and not and will take no less time to recast. If I've missed something, someone please explain it to me. -_-

The time I'd ever have the egis or fairy die is because
1. I died
2. I very nearly almost died standing in bad
3. They took aggro from a mob that the tank didn't pick up
4. I was running from mobs solo questing
5. I didn't use heel and they got caught in a cleave

So I'm meh on that one

I rarely had my fairy die because i was using SUSTAIN! that is why I am mad of the removal

You actually used sustain? I never had to on my Sch, ever, since Eos would just heal herself or I'd do it myself. Sustain is almost a waste of mana, so I just threw it off my bar

EDIT: Especially did it because it could free up some space on my bar, which was already jam packed, so I feel like it was a good decision

Completely disagree.

I do a lot of duoing, in low floors of PotD (150+) and Aqua for example, and Sustain is absolutely imperative.

Yes, but that's duoing. In an ideal scenario, you're in a party of 4, or 8.
Which means you'd have an actual tank and DPS in your party
