    SE made this game AST only, why?

    Now acquired at level 40 (previously level 14).
    Mind bonus increased from 4 to 16.
    Why? have Enhanced Mind II be level 14, then have Enhanced Mind III be at level 40
    while adding 12, so you get the same result 40+ without gimping lower levels.
    No longer deals water damage with a potency of 150.
    Why?
    Ability Instant 90s Increases attack magic potency by 5%.
    Duration: 15s
    Shorter recast, longer duration or more potency, who thought this was a good idea as is?

    Largesse
    Lv. 40
    Ability Instant 90s Increases healing magic potency by 20%.
    Duration: 20s
    So you take away divine seal, gimp it then make it an "optional" ability that is (required) from 1 out of 5? why?

    Lucid Dreaming, take it away from base and have it an "optional" ability that is (required) from 1 out of 5? why?

    Protect, take it away from base and have it an "optional" ability that is (required) from 1 out of 5? why?

    Take heavy away from stone then add "break" on the optional list, why? but we need to select this 1/5 to have what we used to have

    Esuna, take it away from base and have it an "optional" ability that is (required) from 1 out of 5? why?

    Swifcast, ok to have this as "optional" but we need to select this 1/5 to have what we used to have

    Then add in Surecast, eye for an eye.

    So basically you need 8/5 just to keep what you used to have. WHM got nerfed badly. Seeing SCH too I am just going to say SE don't know how to handle healing balance.

    For SCH:
    Aetherflow:
    MP restored reduced from 20% to 10% of maximum.
    Why? add that on top of :
    Adloquium, MP cost has been increased.
    Why?
    Potency is now reduced by 20% for the second enemy, 40% for the third, 60% for the fourth, and 80% for all remaining enemies.
    The additional effect "Increases Faerie Gauge by 10" has been added.
    Why?

    * The following actions were removed with the release of patch 4.0: Virus, Sustain, Miasma II,
    WHY???!?!?!!? esp sustain... WHY?!?!!?!?

    Cure potency reduced from 300 to 250.
    Why?

    SHadowflare:
    Is now an ability.
    Cast time has been made instant.
    Recast time increased from 2.5 to 60 seconds.
    Potency increased from 25 to 50.
    Duration reduced from 30 to 15 seconds.
    MP cost has been removed.
    So when a tank pulls stuff out of AoE we can't recast it? wth is with this change? why did they do this?

    Why was SCH Aoe damage removed completely?!?!!?!?


    Also they kept deployment tactics as is but made eye for an eye a role class that we do not have room to take?
    WHY?!?!!??!!!?!? where is the testing?!!?!!!!
    This is WHY we had no new healing jobs for 4.0, they can't even balance the 3 current healers, Guess the game is AST only, woot?

    ALL healers do not befit from role actions (AST got a buff from keeping synergy) All you are doing is picking old actions with new names and you don't even have room for the useless clerics.

    I really want them to explain why they did all this in detail, makes no sense

    Even though I main AST... I definitely have to agree with the boggling over these healer changes.

    When it was announced that there were only two jobs coming and it the reality started to sink in that they both might be dps, I made a comment along the lines of "I hope whatever changes they make to healers and tanks don't drive people away to the dps role" because that means queues are only going to get worse for dps.

    This is what I was talking about.

    What SE said: Our vision is to make WHM the pure healer.

    What SE did: Nerf Divine Seal. Gives AST higher healing potency than WHM.

    That's on the players for thinking that the meta they formed is the only true way to play the game and try to force the developer to conform to their ideals. In reality, it's very much the opposite. The healer/tank issue is mainly only a western "problem." Likewise, (unsure about the east on this) people complained that tanks and healers were basically the same with very little in difference other than how much DPS they could contribute. From the changes, that's not what SE intended and is trying to brute force their intentions.

    It'll fall on deaf ears.

    I'm not sure how summoner will function without sustain. it means the end of titan egi tanking anything even solo. Unless they have a new ability which does the same thing.

    I understand the nerfs because with cleric stance removed Scholars would be a little broken with how quickly it can gain mp back compared to the other two healers (aetherflow, energy drain, and the new lucid dream) along with the very potent dots, the huge potency of a crit adlo spread basically removing your need to heal at all in many situations, and our mobility via the aetherflow healing abilities. I'll wait until I can play it in new content to fully judge it.
