How would you guys like a FFXI expansion

Shantotto has already made her presents in Eorzea once. And we have no idea how big this world is only that were on a continent . So it would be really cool I think to see all of Vanadiel in 1080/4k HD graphics . Doing hunts or fates with Dunes Emperor or Leaping Lizzy . Story could be about restoring the Craigs because the great war destroyed them all. Just thought it be neat sometime down the road. People who never played 11 can YouTube things about 11 to get an idea of areas and cities .

If they do anything ffxi related I'd rather it be a throwback type of content rather than a full expansion. Maybe the 24 man raid be based on dynamis or promyvion. Something like that.

As far as I'm aware they still have PC access for that game. Is it HD/4kHD? No, but you could probably run XI's settings at max across the board with a machine that does XIV's and be at around 720p.

Vana'diel and Hydaelyn are not the same world. Shantotto is capable of traversing dimensions due to the magic she learned in 'A Shantotto Ascension.'

We do know how big this world is, though - we've got three major continents, basically: Aldenard (thats the one Eorzea is on), Isalbard and Othard (thats where we're heading). On top of that there are a few islands aswell as Meracydia (second large landmass) and The New World (third large landmass). Just because we dont see those ingame yet, doesnt mean they dont exists in the games lore.
Vanadiel, as you can see, isnt mentioned - and I dont want them to pull out a whole new continent all out of sudden.

FFXIV is FFXIV and FFXI is FFXI - I understand nostalgia, but the tradition of the series was always to keep the worlds seperated. I dont mind all those little refrences, I rather enjoy them! (even if I might not get all) But I'd rather have them create original content for this game instead of recylcing FFXI.

I would prefer the games be kept separate. That isn't an issue with FFXI but let them be separate worlds with their own stories rather than trying to force them together.

She was kinda like a samurai but with a naginata? Don't think she ever went back to 11's world. Does that mean she's still wandering 14's? Wonder if they'll bring her back for something eventually.

She might have something to do with the SAM quest? To my understanding she would be considered a SAM in XI, and if we had SAM when the event came out in XIV would have been here as well.

I imagine we'll see her pop up again at some point. Possibly as a side quest in this expansion, or as a future event down the line. The XIV team members seem to be fans of including references and call backs to things, as well as having memorable reoccurring characters rather than just having someone be one off and never scene again, even with event characters. We've even managed to see some random ones from time to time that potentially span years of play time for many players, and it never really felt like it was forced or anything, and instead was just felt like a natural "hey it's this person again" sort of situation......
