Had this problem too at first but quick fix
1.open Logitech gaming software
2.press the gear button (settings) thats on the bottom right hand side of software
3.under options go to game integration
4. un-click the "allow games to control illumination"
It worked for me, thanks a lot !
I am having the same issue as the original poster, with a G510s.
I would like to have the interesting effects Toba mentioned, but does not seem possible at the moment. Using workaround.
You have to have the latest version of the Logitech Gaming Software installed for the new features to work correctly. It requires at least version 8.94.86, and trying to update automatically through the "check for updates" link in the LGS does not find the latest update right now - I had to go to the Logitech website and search for drivers for my G510.
The only features I've seen of this new update so far is when I take aggro, the keyboard back lighting flashes red for a few seconds, but I really wish it wouldn't dim the back lighting so much for all the rest of the time...
