I doubt that a FF11 themed expansion would have actual FF11 themed gameplay. It would be a FF14 expansions set in a FF11 setting. Also what is an optional expansion exactly? Does that mean people not interested get something else? That seems unlikely.

In terms of my ffxi comment, I was half joking. I was only making fun of ffxi fans (me being one granted) desire to see ffxi elements back in. Not as relevant now but when this game first came out everyone was trying to raise the difficulty and elements to ffxi standards.

I meant an optional continent within the game for those hardcore players to live out their nightmare fantasies lol while the rest of the players chill and do w.e else.
