Error 11018 FFXIV Boot Error: File access failed during version check...

Hello, I tried to download the Stormblood Patch and got the error message "FFXIV Boot Error: File access failed during version check...[11018][11028]". I tried pretty much anything I can think of. Manually starting FFXIV as Admin, reinstalling the game. Deactivatinv my antivirus software (bitdefender). I'm googling for solutions for straight 2 hours right now and the only thing I found was this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...8_file_access/

I checked my registry entries and they are showing the correct location. FFXIV is pretty much the only software causing problems and up until this morning everything was working fine. I'm pretty much helpless right now. Maybe someone knows something.

In the Document folder, you should see a folder called My Games.
Inside that folder, you should see one for Final Fantasy.

1. Right click on that folder and click properties.
2. Make sure the read-only is not filled in at all.
3. Make sure the launcher runs in admin mode. The launcher will ask for permissions if you did not start it in admin mode.

Hope this helps. I will check on this forum post if there are any response that these stills did not resolve the issue.
