So this may be a dumb question/thought but with True North does this mean that trick attack will apply the vul+ even if applied from the front while it's active? If so that's awesome news for solo and when playing with tanks that like to spin mobs.

Any and every positional requirement will be ignored while under the effect of True North.
This includes TA, yep.
*Ninja and True North
Forgive the typo. On mobile and it won't let me edit.
tho that role skill is a waste of a slot, because ninja don't have that many positionals to warrant that skill taking a space, maibe for solo content, but i do not see it used for dungeons
I wish they could've just removed the positional requirement from Trick Attack's debuff.
As far as I'm aware, it's the only debuff skill that requires proper positioning, which makes even less sense when considering its long cooldown.
I hate positionals. In 24 man content I can't see shit half the time if everyone is stacked on a smaller boss/enemy and it is just a toss up.
In the current form (effect + cooldown) True North is mostly useful for Monks. To consider it for Ninja, it would have to be something like "Nullifies direction requirement of your next action which has such requirement. Duration 10 seconds. Coooldown 90 seconds (or 120 second max)".
Then again, missing a positional on any Monk attack is just annoying, while missing Trick Attack debuff can be devastating. But the cooldown of True North is still too long. Maybe if a specific mechanics will be added in 4.0 dungeon/raid - something like having to go 1vs1 against an add which has to die immediately - then it will at least have situational use.
I can see it being of use in Amdapor Keep's Demon Wall :/
TA still works when facing enemies like that. Same for Demon tome in Goubal Library
Honestly Ninjas have all of 2 skills that would need that and most ninjas by 4.0 know how to position for them.
I'm finding True North being real useful in almost any kind of situation...
From solo playing to trash pulls and boss in dungeons and trials.
Not because the Tank spins the mob around like a top (or not only because of that) but that many more times than one the boss has this habit of suddenly plastering a big orange circle in its whole back and TA just came out of CD.
This really helps me maintain the relation between TA and DwaD.
