20+ minutes is overkill. Didn't want to skip in case it skipped post-credits scene. And they should speed them up too, considering they list every staff member even for minor roles in every language.

I do believe you can skip the credits. Any after credit scene is a cutscene all on its own. So skipping the credits won't skip a different cutscene.
But I do agree. Those are the longest credits ever!
FF XIV credits is also in the guinness book.
As an example the 2.0 credits don't only list the staffs, but also all the 1.0 players who did the Legacy campaign.
At the least they didn't name every character who got to level X by Y plot point in the game as well. Then you'd be better off making a pot roast during the credits.
Just grab a snack and lay back.
If you skip credits, the subsequent post-credits scene will play, you lose nothing.
Then here can apply the most infamous "watch it in the inn" some "veteran" slaps in face of the people that want play the game and enjoy the cs within.
BUT WHO WOULD SKIP IT!?
everyone i know of
I like the long credits. It feels so off for an MMO to have an Ending Credit.
I usually never skip credits, even if they're long. I normally only reach the credits on games I enjoyed playing, and therefore watch them as respect to all who worked on it.
But that's just me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I skip only when already seen.
