Unless there's an option in the system settings, my best guess is that it's an issue in the way the game handles mouse/stick input. AFAIK, in many games that have both Mouse+KB and Controller Support, the position/rotation/vector values of the camera/mouse cursor are held by the same variables, but can be manipulated by different input sources.

Best course of action might be what you've done here: bring it to the attention of the Dev/Tech team.
