    Goodbye to heavensward

So with Heavensward drawing to a close this thread is for all to reflect and share good and bad memories of what they enjoyed and disliked about it. I'm personally glad we got ishgard though shame we haven't gotten to see a housing zone for ishgard as of yet or female version of aymeric outfit loved the moogles and their general silliness.

I hope SB doesn't have any more Moogle centric zones. That was Moogle overkill and possibly one of the worse zones ever made. Go kupo your arse somewhere else you little blood suckers.

i liked the heavensward as it remind me of things like king arthur and his holy knights. i like the improvements with voice acting in the story mode, but they still can use more improvements. the story itself in 3.1 and onward was not as interesting as the initial 3.0 story, kind of felt disappointed with most of the patches. the crafting was a pain with the red scripts the first year or so, till we saw some changes. i hated enocian for blm and i kind of stopped playing it in favor of other jobs. raiding was less interesting, i prefer the coil themes over Alexander. i still prefer the old titan days for primals, had more fun doing titan HM than any other primal yet, you can laugh if you want. hope Stormblood gives us more interesting things to do. i did not like the palace of the dead.

I'm still of mind that ARR was better than HW, and much of that comes down to the pacing.

HW has an accessibility problem compared to ARR.

Areas in ARR didn't have gates blocking zones, you could go anywhere in the overworld at level one as long as you could dodge aggro.
Aether Currents forced exploration while savagely restricting it and took much of the satisfaction of discovery out.
You couldn't skip area side-quest chains to move on, as they rewarded those dreaded Aether currents. Said quest chains took more time to compensate the increased map size.

I didn't like the story nearly as much as half the time I wanted to yell at the characters. Especially Ysayle, holy cow, and the dragon's in general just baffle me.

I wasn't even interested in Stormblood until I saw that the game was refocusing on the Garlean threat and overall theme of liberation after the historical nonsense of Ishgard, Ysayle's non-redemption, Nidhogg's revenge boner, and lazy Moogles.

    What I enjoyed:
-the story so far. Especially the recent HW finale
    -New zones
    -leveling various jobs to 60
    -trying out the HW jobs
    -Flying
    -Finally getting Fenrir mount
-a million things Ive likely forgotten since HW launched

What I disliked because of HW:

    -Too many moogles @_@
    -Minfillia's current situation
    -crafting
-Bard 3.X glad that is over
-Trying to find and master a new job I liked to play in lieu of BRD changes specifically to appease my raid group
-Our raid group falling apart because 2 folks pressured everyone else to rush to end game when they just wanted to enjoy the story
-New jobs not starting at level 1

What Im excited for in SB:
    -BARD, Mother F'n BARD!
    -RDM
    -Swimming
    -New areas
    -New story
-Seeing what becomes of my favorite character. Y'shtola

I liked the Ul'dahn Revolution arc, though it wasn't really a revolution. I thought we'd get an instance of Ul'dah with fighting in the streets and stuff. I started in Ul'dah way back in 1.0 so i liked it being a centerpiece here. Rescuing Raubahn was cool. Dunno how I feel about "Idle"-shire. On the one hand I'll miss Zhloe/Khloe, but I can always visit them. I wonder where the new "Idle"-shire will be.

Since mobile still doesn't have an edit button (why SE?), here is what I enjoyed.

The new zones are really gorgeous. Those Moogles couldn't sour how gorgeous the Zenith is.
The new beast tribes are adorable.
    Alphinaud's character arch.
    Haurchefant's character arch.
    Astrologian.
    The Scholasticate questline.
The new primals and Warring Triad.
    The expanded job lore.
The foresight to put Idyllshire in it's own zone.
This cycle's holiday and seasonal events.
The follow-up arch in Ul'dah, BS'ing Nanamo back to life and all.
The new side content; squadrons, PotD, Wondrous Tails, etc.
    THE MUSIC HOLY JESUS

I liked the exploration involved in getting the aethercurrents when the game released. Absolutely hate that you can get them now by walking down the road at night and just seeing them glowing in the distance. Didn't mind the Moogle quests. I like quests. I do all of them. They didn't seem abnormal or in any different quantity than any other zone. Didn't like that I still can't do Moogle Tribe quests because they are locked behind Crafting. Didn't like that they still haven't fixed glam or craft storage...one or the other would help a lot. Glam would be best. Liked MCH, hated casting times. Not particularly looking forward to Bard's possible new wet-noodle dps support role, might have to main MCH. All in all it was a good expansion, though. Hopefully, they will stop killing all the characters.

    What I liked/enjoyed about Heavensward:
    - The story (obviously)
    - Flying
    - The Alexander and Mhachi raids
    - The introduction of Wondorous Tails
    - The HW Hildy quests
    - The Scholasticate quests
    - The introduction of The Palace of the Dead (yes, it can get boring, but it's a great place to go lvl for a while at least)
    - Squadrons

    What I disliked about Heavensward:
    - The convoluted way of unlocking flying (I understand that they didn't want it to be too easy, but c'mon)
    - Certain parts of the story (mostly the character deaths that happened)
    - WANDERER'S. MINUET. Like many, many others, that STUPID SONG made me quit a job I really enjoyed.

What I'm looking forward to in Stormblood:
    - SWIMMING AND DIVING!! =DD (I mean, who ISN'T excited about finally taking swimming pics in Costa del Sol?)
    - Playing BRD again
    - The story (obviously)
    - The new areas
