Total barefoot option!!!

Idk if this has been talked about at all before or if SE confirmed it elsewhere already but I just noticed in the live stream Yoshida's Lala is completely barefoot while swimming and running around on the beach. Are we getting a barefoot option at long last??? :O

Eh, sorry. Was a bit overexcited and forgot to add ?'s. Anyway the body of the thread explains what I mean and the title doesn't say "There is a new barefoot option!!!" It just says "Total barefoot option!!!" which is kind of vague. So really not all that misleading?

I have thought in that too, it looks really weird that the characters keeps using shoes without boots :/ would be nice to have an option like that.

I didn't see yoshi character barefoot I'm pretty sure sandals were still on but was just hard to see since lala have such small feet.

We asked for this option years ago and all we got was a tongue in cheek response that it's dangerous to walk around Eorzea barefoot.. #Freeourfeet2k17

I'm pretty sure at this point, we can just forget about this option ever coming into fruition. They rather allocate their resources elsewhere. Should have been written in from the get go me thinks. :/

They probably can't do it because the shape of the foot has "toy doll" type of feet. There's a permanent heel shape that likely looks weird without at least sandals. Otherwise it looks like they walk on their toes.

Oh it's possible, apparently there's a very lewd third party addon floating around the interwebs that does exactly what we want (among other things)

The dev team just doesn't want to allocate the resources to do it correctly, and are content to leave it as is.
