Played a miqo'te first and changed to au ra when they were released. While I agree that a tail should be logically hidden or seen, depending on the outfit, that doesn't mean tails can't be rolled or tucked away into garments.

Personally, I'd rather like to see layering between garments, like with the astral silk bottoms and the chivalric doublet I doodled.

However, I understand that it would probably require SE to retroactively make a tailed and tail-less model for every armor piece. That's a lot of work and is probably way more involved than what most people are willing to comprehend and even my personal favorite layering option would be even more work. These are pretty much the epitome of what SE doesn't want to do and why it's been said before that we probably won't be getting more beast- like player races because it would necessitate the creation of special gear.

Just to paint a picture of why OP is asking for this. We miqo'te/au ra love our tails, we just hate when we get nice armor like this and we see this happen.... rather it be able to be toggled off temporarily for situations like this. No amount of centering would resolve this either :/. Things like the above would be wonderful but obviously much more taxing and difficult to do, having to add all this modeling rework to a ton of armor that exists already for specific races. It would more than likely cause other issues too like your armor clipping against buildings you lean against or some oddities similar to that idea.

Thank you Valic, couldn't ask for a more perfect example. There's plenty of room under that Red Mage robe for the tail to hide. >_> Even if the toggle only worked for certain clothes where it makes more "sense" (despite us being able to wear a helmet and hide it and pull weapons out of thin air/clipping itself doesn't make sense), that would be something lol.

    Please fix it devs.!

I really think there should be a toggle on and off.
Because it seems like everyone who aint a miqo'te just find this very funny.
But to be fair, the option should be there. And for those who have a tail, it's annoying that all other "full body event suits" hides your tail. (Bunny - Chicken - and so on)

So please, devs.... in Endwalker, can you PLEASE fix this problem? Seems like a bug, that is just been overlooked.

You presented your idea really well, I'm very fond of the diagram and this concept has my full support.

I hope you guys manage to get this implemented.

Square Enix have extorted money from Viera and Hrothgar's limitations, but from the outside looking in it seems barely any of that money is invested back into the limited races. How much money have they made from players
fantasia'ing to and from the limited races? We want more race-exclusive hair.
We want them improved, and we want it done within a reasonable time.
