I would add the garbage man. His weapon is the garbage can. Garbage is his life, his joy, his love. His tank philosophy is cleaning up the trash.
Im on this FFXI inspired train...
For healer, with a monk DPS style system but for buffs. Oh, and with decent animation flow, unlike monk. Do not need another meth head capoiera/brazilian jiujitsu thingy, seriously why is monks animation flow so bad.

I vaguely remember one boss being kind of a "2 shield with cannon" so something like that I'd agree with. Dunno on a name for it though.

Pupeteer-Class, where you attack and take hits through your pet.
But other than already suggest in this thread, you would share the same HP-Pool with your pet. If it dies, so do you (otherwise it would be to OP and not balanceable).
I would like a different Kind of tank as well. Currently all tanks are quite straightforward brutes. The Problem with my Suggestion however, would be the control for the PS4-Players. As clunky as the pet-comanding currently is on a Controller, you would have a hard time as a PS4 Player.
Otherwise: Something that uses a giant scythe. Im completely the Scythe-type!

Uhhh... no. We already have that in Warrior. They could just easily give warriors a "hammer" class weapon in savage raids/pvp to entice people to play more of those content instead of making a whole new class that is essentially a rehash. Any argument against that falls flat because monk has weapons hat look like they deal piercing damage but still deal blunt. I'm looking at you Halonic Friar's Patas. Nero also uses the same moveset as warriors so there's that too. What I would like to see is a pet tank class. Something like Beast master. Lots of interesting dynamics can come from that like using your beast to attack a mob far from you and "provoke" it to attacking you or stacking with your beast to split damage, etc. DPS and Healers already have a pet class so why not tanks?
I'd like to see Mystic Knight. Shellblade, Magic shell, and augmenting the sword with different elemental abilities which could act as healing, damage and CC could make a pretty cool tank job. It could also take some inspiration from XIs rune fencer.
That would be pretty cool.
That would be pretty clever actually.Mime because its a very obscure tactics job that could fit into XIV better than blue mage. It would be a taunt oriented tank with lower dps but enmity modifiers so high that not even a jumping dragoon can land on it. Not to mention when it comes to irl, isn't it irksome for someone to be mocking you by mimicking you anyway?
I think a puppeteer class might be the next best thing though.
Beastmaster, they tank with their pet by their side and depending on the pet, they harness the aspect of their pet. An example could be the DC Comic superhero called Vixen.
