I still disagree. The LAST thing this game needs is anyway to increase elitism. A personal DPS meter quickly becomes a "Hey look at my DPS in the last fight" deal.

but again your not forced to stay and listen thats your choice if you let it get to you im talking about only they shove there numbers in your face to belittle you nothings wrong about saying what your numbers are if your confident thats like a good looking person being proud of there looks they want to flaunt it long as they dont call you shit it shouldnt matter

I honestly agree with this statement. I've actually ran into my fair share of elitist jerks who would ditch dungeons based on party comps alone. I don't want them to have more tools at their disposal.
No thank you.
The tool is there anyways, and what's worse is that people can treat tanks and healers like crap because their performance is displayed in game. But we can let dps be a flaming pile of**** and cant say a word without possibly being banned. Totally fair.

Idk what your talking about, but raids don't stop for dps, they stop for tanks and healers. I play all three roles and i can tell your a dps meter wouldn't change it. I'm neither for or against dps meters i will say this, allowing add-ons or making it optional based on party settings is also fine. Elitist will exist dps meter or not good players would rather play with other good players i find nothing wrong with that either.
The same way they gave us the ability to remove people with bonuses out of our queue as a option given the consensus is so split dps meters should be an option too maybe you can public show it or chose not to or its in pt settings.
I do that for harder dungeons back in HW like a10-12s and zuvuran, you can just not party up with those people, seems like your hating on well knowledgeable players who want to get things done instead of wiping over and over again, i don't think thats fair.

The likelihood of someone who cares about efficiency dropping a party or kicking someone over things they can't control within the fights themselves only increases when you restrict the ability to see how people are really performing.

I unliked your post so i could like twice. Very well said beat me to it.

And I agree with both of you, why invite more poison into the game?

Poison?
In this game? This is one of the most casual lets not follow raid mechanics or use my support skills at all as a dps i've ever seen. I rarely see DPS classes use there support skills like manasong, apoth, mantra, shadewalker, battle litany etc.
No one complains about this. Atleast a dps meter would insure that a dps classes atleast dps because they sure as hell aren't using there other utility skills.
