Stone Sky Sea is a great tool! Unless you're a dragoon. You can't efficiently practice your rotation as a dragoon there because there's nobody to tether. Whoops. So it's not even a tool to practice your rotation unless you spend Ghysal Greens to have a chocobo sit there and be tethered. But that breaks the dummy entirely since it's not balanced around Eye of the Dragon; I killed the v4s dummy with mostly 320 gear, unmelded, and with the Susano weapon because of it.

It's also worth mentioning that the dummies were never rebalanced for any buffs or nerfs. To kill the v4s dummy as a ninja is an accomplishment of luck and gear power, since it was balanced before the gust slash nerf came out. So even then, the dummies no longer tell you if you're putting out enough to beat a fight.

That aside, the SSS dummy remains a static dummy and, like everything else regarding parsers, has not only been discussed to death but dismissed to death. It doesn't show you what combinations of your party / GCD placement in certain places grant you the greatest returns in a specific fight.

If you can complete SSS dummy than you know your rotation. You should also know if you're hitting your rotation. You know when you're mucking it up and also know when you are nailing it. So I don't see any need to have a DPS parser when others have said that there are tools to gauge whether or not you know your rotation.

If that means I'd get DPS that actually have something to show off, then I'm more than happy. Devastating majority of pugs have pathetic numbers and there is no way to tell it to them without taking notes of their performance mid-fight.

Problem is, that most people, when they see a player parsing very low, are not even trying to help. they simply begin with insults, or straight kicking player out of group, instead of trying to communicate, telling to look up rotation at a certain website, etc.
i had a firsthand experience in ESO, where they officially allows addons and even have personal parcers in game. I've experienced so much rage towards myself, even though i wasn't even highest level yet, it wasn't a high end duty, and it is a first damn week i even play this game, because these nice people compared numbers and began laughing at me.
i am more for a grading system. such will be challenging to implement though, so let's just keep to Sss and forget about whole parcer thing

Anything to get people to realize they aren't as good as they thought they are.
I don't want to be a jerk about it, I don't want to be an elitist. I'm happy to play with poor performers, but it's upsetting they don't realize their own poor performance.
