Been asking for a tackle box or something similar since 1.0. It's not going to happen because everything they do in this game seems to be limited by something. Server space, memory, blah blah. It's always something lol..

Our tacklebox is that little bit of extra inventory after the 5th bag. That's what I use it for, anyway.

Now THAT is the best idea I've ever heard regarding how to deal with fishing bait in this game. The storage is already there, and hardly used anyway, so it won't be devoting storage only to fishing so that nonfishers won't have access to it.

Sounds like you're either storing glamour in there or you forgot to take out your older leveling gear.

Fishers need an offhand tacklebox that stores bait, with size of the box being tied to the ilvl of the box.

For the animations for the fisher, the fisher would set the box down when fishing, and pick it back up when they put their pole away.

Could possibly make it into a Key Item instead since we have the spearfishing. Make it similar to a retainer(albeit a much much smaller - like 5-10 items only) inventory, and it could be possible.
