Fishers need an offhand tacklebox that stores bait, with size of the box being tied to the ilvl of the box.
For the animations for the fisher, the fisher would set the box down when fishing, and pick it back up when they put their pole away.

Yes please! The mess baits make in our inventory is for real.
Been asking for this for so long, with Ps3 support being dropped they're running out of excuses to not give us this.
General inventory space is increasing. What they could do achieve a similar result to this request is add more inventory display options and customisation. They could auto- filter items into different tabs by item type, such as bait, crafting materials, meals, etc. each having their own managed sections, or custom categories set by user where you can select check boxes for which type of items filter into which space.
100% support!
Yeah, but still, I'd rather having an offhand to store baits instead of having another inventory tab. We already have a number of tabs already. Having an offhand to store fishing baits is just a neater idea!General inventory space is increasing. “The best crafter is not the one with the best stats, but the one who makes the best use of one’s stats” – By Caimie Tsukino
First off; this thread is more appropriate in the Disciple of the Land forums, since FSH is a gatherer and not a crafter.
To actually give a response, I'll just post a quote of what I said in another thread similar to this:
If you think FSH needs a Tackle Box then you're hoarding too many types of bait or hoarding something else. I only buy bait when I WILL be using immediately. A majority of bait is so cheap that it's barely worth holding onto the leftovers unless you plan to do more fishing soon. How many types of bait do you hold at once? How many of those can be easily bought from a vendor (1-50), or be bought with blue scrips (almost all HW ones)?
I only have 3 stacks of bait at all times; Brute Leeches, Crane Flies, and Bladed Steel Jigs. Anything else is either easily bought from a vendor or made for cheap by GSM/CUL. If I need any ARR bait I go to the Junkmonger in the Housing Areas and see if they have it; if not I make a couple synths of it. If I need Blue Scrip bait I always keep a stack of Brute Leeches as a safety measure to fish up a few Illuminati Perches to get that stack of bait too.
Too bad we're already getting a spear for our offhand huh?
I would love to see this implemented soon.
Why are you carrying so much bait? The script bait should be stockpiled but that's it. How much food do you carry? Will S/E need to give us a picnic basket / cooler too? Just sell the junk bait. On the other hand, I don't think we should have bait to begin with. It's a stupid requirement. Most of the time the bait costs more than the fish you catch. They should just get rid of it.
Sorry, they got spearfishing instead
