You mean Hien?? He's the prince of Doma! He's apparently going to eventually be Doma's GC equivalent (like Aymeric became to Ishgard), if theory proves.

To be fair, it's not always the case and it's obvious that our first trip into Ala Mihgo ends in failure.
You know the real reason why the WoL is so bland in cutscenes verses basically everyone else is so SE doesn't have to animate cutscenes for every job on every race.Until we enter a cutscene and suddenly can't do anything anymore except stretching our hand out and silently opening the mouth. In those moments, we watch a supposed "good friend" struggle against a lazorbolt for a good 30 seconds doing absolutely nothing, so we can then look all sad when they die.
And it was more like 5 seconds but w/e. It's still a sore spot and baity.
I've been saying since FFBE did the ff14 crossover event y'sholta is gonna die. All the FF14 6 star characters are dead but her lol.
I actually suspect Y'shtola the least because of the trailer. They also retconned her condition slightly. Instead of slowly draining her life force away until she dies, she is putting her body in intense stress to maintain her sight, and it will kill her if she continues. She'll probably have a story arc where she learns to do things without her eyes, or she'll learn a different way to see.
The former seems weird anyway, as the entire conjurer quest line revolves around a little girl who drains her own life force to heal, and then learns to draw the aether from nature, rather than from herself, and the damage she did to herself was reversible by not continuing her old ways.
Y'shtola is the poster child of this game, and she's this game's representative in the upcoming dissidia game. Revealing important deaths in a trailer is already a horrible way to advertise something, much worse when it's the character they use to market the game.
