Hello everyone! I have I guess one question, lol. I would like to know all of the acronyms for tanking or just being a PLD. I had someone tell me I needed to do and I had no idea what they were saying xD.
I'd really appriciate it if anyone can help.

I'm not really sure about what tank-specific terms you're referring to, but a good guide for game-wide terms and acronyms can be found here: https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/D...erms_and_Slang
Most of the acronyms that are used for jobs and classes in the game are the 3 letter ones that are used by SE to visually show who can use the gear when looking at the tooltip.
If you have older multi-mmo players you may see PAL for paladin or PUG for pugilist. I know im pretty bad about using PUG instead of the SE provided PGL. The rest are pretty much used right. The only trick in there is Archer and Arcanist, given the both start with ARC but Archer uses this one so Arcanist uses ACN

Awesome thank you!
Well someone said I had to stack triple CD Im not sure what that is lol. Thank you for the responces!
It's different across languages but you may also see MT (main tank) and ST or OT (sub/off tank) in groups with multiple tanks. Usually someone is designated the MT and they take care of the boss to prevent the aggro switching all over the place, while the OT picks up any extra enemies and takes care of emergencies, dealing damage when there's less to do.
