New face-paint/tattoo options in 2.0

I know that we're getting new character design options in 2.0, but I just wanted to push for this specific aspect of the character creator.

The current tattoo/face paint options are sort of... lacking :/ A smudge under the eyes, a (nifty looking, admittedly) tattoo on the neck, and the Miqo'te get a few face marks similar to XI's.

I'm hoping that we get a design-diversity for the face paint/tattoo design similar to Skyrim's; really, I just want to look more bada**/fierce, not like I smudged some white paint under my eyes and called it a day xD

But, when I actually got to making mine, it felt like there was still very little I could do. I didn't find one hairstyle I liked at all. It kinda reminded me of the Sims 3. All the hairstyles sucked :/
I really wish we could have a bit more freedom when it came to this.
So, I am going to agree with you on this.
Not something we need NOW but, it would be nice to have I would think.

Totally with you on the hair. I ended up picking what is one of the most "vanilla" feeling hairstyles because it was the only one I kinda liked. Definitely tons more options than FFXI, but a lot of them are just not enough to make people feel unique.

I would love to see sliders rather than presets. Maybe not with hair (that could be kinda complicated), but with other features. Like moving tatoos/scars around a little bit, eye height and distance apart, stuff that games like Oblivion and Mass Effect let you do a little *too* much. We don't need that much detail in a MMO, but I would *love* to feel like my character face was pretty much guaranteed to be unique.

Ofc. :3 And I know the devs./Yoshi are working hard on making the character creator better since the lack of diversity is really a leftover from Tanaka's vision; so while I don't think we need this now AT ALL, it'd be great if when the new creator was released in a year it had stuff like...

The blue Braveheart face paint option from Skyrim when you make a Nord male xD Or the dotted/striped options for Redguard females. Nothing over the top, since XIV of a different style than skyrim, obv., but it'd be cool if we could look 'meaner', if we wanted to.

The pervert in me says +9,001 to this. ^///^; Heck, games like PSO2, Saint's Row: The Third, and Soul Calibur IV/V do this, from what I've seen so far...

Please also add options to be a little plumper...These super skinny muscular characters don't represent the kind of in-game character I want to be...

The current facepaint looks artificial in relation to the rest of the character design. It appears that facepaint has potential to be great, but needs more work. It should look real and less like photoshoped color.
