PS4: Standard Type Movement and character turning animation

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I was really unsure of what section to post this, since I don't feel like this is a bug, nor something that can be called technical support.
So, the thing is: Is there any way to get that somewhat nice turning animation your character does when you press and hold A or D while playing on keyboard+mouse, but playing on a controller instead? I'm playing on PS4, and I would play with a mouse and keyboard, if the settings for mouse sensibility were better, and I'd like to play with character movement set to standard, since I'm tanking, and having to lock-on to face targets is pretty annoying, BUT, the fact that when I turn the camera while my character is not moving makes my character turn around without moving (Especially when it's doing the idle animation) makes me feel so bad about playing like this that I decided to make sure I'm not missing something.

Main Menu > System > Character configuration > mess with movement settings and see if you like legacy or not.

I think that's what you're asking for anyway.

Uh, Legacy mode is actually the default settings for PS4, but someone on my FC told me that if you're not facing the target you can't parry/block, so for tanking is kinda bad.
But I got myself a mouse with a DPI button, and now I'm playing with Keyboard and Mouse.
