"Every other Final Fantasy" tend to be groups of 3 or 4. Maybe in FFXI it wasn't. But there is no reason why this game can't be set up that way.

Yoshi-P said he was going to be making 4 and 8 party content. I see nothing unreasonable about this request.

I will agree however that lower man content should be made at least until 2.0. I don't think SE will manage to secure many subscriptions in this pseudo-beta period.

Eight is a very small number especially if you compare it to other MMORPGs. However, this is irrelevant considering the low population.
