    This kind of skillchains existed at the beginning of v1.0 ff14 but they remooved it....maybe it asked too much cohesion in a group (we all know how it's difficult sometimes to play with others when no one wants to put some efforts in it). And the battle system speed has rised too at 2.0. so those skillchains vanished.

    Anyway i agree, LBs could be better.

    And imo each job should have an offensive and a defensive LB, as a main healer i'm so desperate sometimes to write 10 times in the tchatlog "LB" "plz use LB" come on plz use LB" "DPS LB???" and none DPS use it or at the worst moment.

    And if we follow there logic, we should have a LB4 once we will reach the lv70?

    I agree, I would love to see the LB reworked.

    I also always wondered why we didn't have our own lb instead of a party one, with different effect depending on the class..
    In other words, a LB like LB in Final Fantasy games.

    Personal LB is as boring as party LB. It's just a bar that fills regardless of how poor or how well you play and then you unleash it. It'd be far better to do something like BLM has going for it with accessing a spell or ability for keeping Enochian up for 30 seconds. Just make the requirements more demanding / unique to each job with each job having really different limit breaks (SMN morphing their egi into a full aspect of the primal for a short period or MNKs getting triple their skill speed with no TP costs for a short period of time, etc) rather than just having plain damage, healing, or damage mitigation. That would give incentive for knowing your job and playing it well since you'd want to use your job's "ultimate ability."

    I'd say a personal LB would be nice, but... *looks at Passage of Arms* I'm good. ^^;

    (I'm sorry I have nothing real to add, please don't hurt me to badly! /cower)

    Personal limit breaks would be nice but they would still need to spice things up. For example

    Tank limit break skills, for those big hits in fights where you need it, each tanks adds only half the mitigation you need. both tanks need to use together
    Healing limit breaks, an aoe heal with an added refresh for mp. no more everyone ressing bs
    DPS limit breaks, hits hard, places stacking limit break vuln debuff on boss for 10 seconds making you want all dpsers to use them together for anime levels of destruction

    I remember years ago when HW was first advertised, one of the perks was the new, unique LBs to each Job. So interested in executing a DRK LB to see it in-game for myself.

    Still haven't seen it ; ;

    And if you have a melee dps you have to remember to tell the brd/mch to not do it. Melee is the single target LB and hits harder. As a bard i toss it off sometimes when the melee isn't paying attention or something, but it's not going to do the same damage as a goon or a monk. Meteor is cool but BLMs get the AOE, so same issue as bard.

    go to A12, the tank LB is kinda required for that fight both normal (kinda) and savage, so you will see it there if you beat the other tank who is also crying in joy for the chance.

    History: Limit Break system came about in a response to the poorly implemented Battle Regiment, yea don't ask....

    The key issue with FFXIV's Limit Break system is it punishes player for using it. The meta is to save it for DPS at 10% with a few fights needing a tank def buff.

    The best use of a system like this would be to encourage teamwork without punishing individuals. The party is made up tank, healer, dps. Limit break have three bars. Every time a player uses a LB, it would consume one bar and place a LB buff to the party increasing the next LB used within 1 minute. The idea of this design would be chaining LB's together or uses them individually. So if you are doing a dungeon run with trash mobs you might want to use Tank LB for def buff or caster/ranger LB for quicker kills. Another example would be if things go south in a raid, the tank could use the def LB to defend the party while the healer uses their LB to save the raid.

    Yes, individual LBs, because gods forbid that people actually work together in group content.....

    If any changes were to be made to the current LB system, I'd love to see a small damage component to at least the LB1 and LB2 for healers. I'm thinking somewhere between 66-75% of what the physical ranged LB1 and LB2 hit for, so that way it wouldn't change the LB priority, but it wouldn't be completely useless either. Maybe add an full debuff removal for the healer LB2 and I guess healer LB3, that'd be nice too.
