It is not a priority. It will be changed with added quest in the fututre for betraying companies I am sure. But for now its not a need, must have, or even a priority.

In other words, I think patients untill they do add it is the key.

What exactly are the benefits? So far the only thing I have seen is beating the instances with people in the same company as you gives you a slightly greater reward for grand company seals, and those are pretty much negligable.

Caravan escort for example, can only be done with people of your Grand Company. It's not exactly a "benefit" (as in reward), I know.

As far as I am aware, the bonuses for members of the same GC only applied to the level 25 Ifrit battle, according to my memory and Eorzeapedia. I neither saw nor remembered anything about bonuses for the harder primal fight.
