Anyone seen a date for these in NA? I ended up hating leveling in HW, and just want to buy the story potion and get to the hopefully better new content in Stormblood.

I believe they were scheduled to be released either with early access or SB launch.
There are 2 types of potions, 1 that boosts you to 60(only 1 is allowed to be purchased on the account). The other is the story boost potion which comes with 2 types, skip ARR and skip ARR+HW. All will be available when early access hits I'm pretty sure.
I dont mean to attack anyone, but I'm always a bit curious why people want to skip the story (I guess I can understand it with parts of ARR) when they know that there will just be MORE story with the next expansion. I mean... you want topay money to skip something you dont like, to get to play more content you dont like...?
Can someone explain this to me somehow? I'm sorry, I just cant wrap my head around this >.< I guess everyone enjoys different things about the game in the end and thats fine, but I just dont get this...
In OPs case for example: was it the setting you didnt like and you hope you'll like the SB one better? Or the characters?
Main point, I started Paladin, and did not like how low DPS was to grind through the quests. They took forever. I then switched to Warrior at around 53 in Paladin, there were very little quests to actually get anything done to catch up other than tanking Daily Roulette on my Warrior slightly better DPS. Since then I have grown tired of tanking everything if want to get story or a dungeon done and there is no good way to level as DPS.
Previous cont...
Fates and Leve Quest xp blows, I have been waiting since HW launch for hopefully some re-balancing of XP gains from it, no go.
I would gladly pay to get a 60 that does require me to grind a crap-ton of stuff since there are not enough quests to get decent xp to level a second let alone 3rd job.
There are so many QoL updates that I have been hoping for and they did not materialize. I am willing to get Stormblood a go but yet again we have to complete the stupid story to get to a new zone in the expansion. It would be nice to start at an expansion and just play in the new content once you hit the level.
So what really bothered you wasnt the story but rather the leveling of classes?
I do understand your wish of a fresh start and I am fully aware that its your choice after all, but maybe you could consider buying the level jump potion instead of the story skip one and actually play through the HW-story?
If you actually enjoy seeing the story it would be a shame to miss out on it...
PotD is a fast way of leveling btw. Daily Beast Tribe quests give a very decent chunk of exp aswell - the weekly challenge log gives a certain amount of exp aswell.
And to be honest: at the end of the day after the story is done this game is one big grind - if you dont enjoy that, I'm not sure what this game can give you once the story is done...?
Again, in the end its your choice, but if you care about the story, I would reconsider skipping it, even though I understand your situation and wish for a fresh start.
Well the most obvious reason is that people want to catch up to their friends. That is reasonable to do ONCE, unless they completely hate the job they selected.I dont mean to attack anyone, but I'm always a bit curious why people want to skip the story (I guess I can understand it with parts of ARR) when they know that there will just be MORE story with the next expansion. The other argument which was pretty heated at the beginning of HW was that there are RP people who do not want to play the story. They see it as an obstacle. That is another kind of heated debate that I don't want to bring to this thread.
Suffice it to say, if they set the price of these job pots at a level that is essentially the same as buying a new subscription, then I don't see why not. Feels like the players are only cheating themselves. As long as it can only be done to a combat class that is fine. If they allow it to be done to a crafting class, then it's just an extreme P2W, and nobody will bother with crafting any low-level items, ever.
its not for crafting classes. So lets not even discuss what we know it isn't.Well the most obvious reason is that people want to catch up to their friends. That is reasonable to do ONCE, unless they completely hate the job they selected.
