To be perfectly honest. Before the dungeon begins, it would be in the tank's best interest to examine everyone in the party. Especially the healer. And see if they have the gear for large pulls. If they do, fine. Go and pull largely. If not, pull smaller. Do not stress your healer out making things uncomfortable.

And about the Bard. Don't worry. Even at level 60 content, a lot of bards get salty if they have Foe's up and the healer is out DPSing them. XD It's quite hilarious.
Anyways, just keep DPSing, and playing how you desire.
