Can someone explain this to me somehow? I'm sorry, I just cant wrap my head around this >.< I guess everyone enjoys different things about the game in the end and thats fine, but I just dont get this...

In OPs case for example: was it the setting you didnt like and you hope you'll like the SB one better? Or the characters?
1) The sooner I get through old content the sooner I can play with the general community and friends on the new content.
2) There are way, way too many MSQs. I quit FFXIV when I completed the 100 MSQs of ARR (Zzzz) and saw that there were 100 MORE before STARTING HW. Without jump potion, I would never come back.
3) The MSQline is heavily padded, which may work all right if you're consuming content bit by bit but is tortuous back-to-back when catching up. All the ARR fetch quests and story padding (hey, we need you to provision a feast to fight a boss) ate away at time without adding much to the world.
