LOL! ALA MHIGANS LOYAL TO GAIUS' TENURE AS VICEROY USING WOLF IMAGERY? BRILLIANT. REMIND ME TO BUY YOU A DRINK
(The only bad part is their distinctly "Doman" weaponry)

It'd make for a very boring story if the Warrior of Light could effortlessly destroy anyone who stood in his way. Besides, the only reason that the Warrior of Light succeeds in the first place is due to various means of plot convenience. Some of which can feel very contrived such as Cid miraculously swooping in to save them at exactly the right moment on multiple different occasions. Given that it's the player character, it's understandable why that happens - but there's a decent amount of people who prefer a more in-depth experience than the 'lol my WOL can kil any1 m8' some people seem to want. It could very well be that Zenos commands some hidden power that we do not know about.

Yotsuyu's voice isn't what I expected. Assuming the voice playing during her scenes is her, of course.
I'm really curious about how that sparring match cutscene from the CGI trailer is going to work ingame. Fingers crossed we'll get different scenes based on your choice of job instead of having to pretend you're a monk.
There is a lot to absorb, so where shall I start?
Well, I'll begin with the music. Other than being awesome, I like how it gives a sense of patriotism. A very fitting theme for Stormblood.
Is it possible that the Lalafell mages attacking the gate were of the Thaumaturge quests?
Y'shtola is probably fine, given that they wouldn't have showed it if it meant otherwise. It's more likely that she'll be out of commission for a while. At least, that is what I hope...
Did Zenos just beat the the Warrior of Light in SINGLE COMBAT?! What sort of monster is he? I suspect Ascian meddling.
I know she is a villain and all, but I admit that Yotsuyu is drop-dead gorgeous. (Also, that was probably not her voice. Sounds too friendly.)
That scene with Lyse and WoL at Rhalgr's palm, I hope that is an actual scene in the game and not just a trailer exclusive.
I think Alisaie is going to be alright, though I can't say the same for Yugiri.
Estinen has not retired!
Anyways, the hype has entered interstellar orbit and why hasn't cryosleep been invented yet?

My guess would be that the scene ends before collision, meaning that we'll do that charge animation regardless of class. Then we are doing the battle in gameplay.
While this was my initial reaction, it very quickly fell apart. The robes and staves are wrong. Some of the lalafells in the trailer are using Flame Lieutenant staves and they appear to be using generic Austere Cowls and not the modified/red version nor the modified Darklight.
Y'shtola no! T T
There are some implications throughout the story that when faced against a primal or similar threat that we seemed to be stronger then we normally are. My guess is that the Blessing of Light and the power it provides is really only effective against more aetherial threats. There's nothing to suggest that the power of light gives the Warrior of Light any real advantage against other mortals as far as I've been able to tell.

Aside from that one of the main reasons that we SPECIFICALLY are sent against primals is because we are both badass and can't be force into being a thrall to said primals. Other characters can be a match, or even possibly more powerful than us, but without the second part aren't good for primal killing. There is some implications throughout the game that when faced against a primal or similar threat that we seemed to be stronger then we normally are. I'd have to look again, but I swore there were a few times where a strength difference was suggested but it could just be way I read into those lines. A few times in Heavensward there were lines which suggested our power was beyond reason but it usually was only in the presence of a primal, voidsent, or other external threat that wasn't mortal. Though I can understand there are different ways to read such a line.Aside from that one of the main reasons that we SPECIFICALLY are sent against primals is because we are both badass and can't be force into being a thrall to said primals.
