• They spoiled Y'shtola's death in the trailer, just like Aymeric.
• By extension that also means Alisaie is dead.

I'm sad.

Y'shtola is one of my favourite characters, although I can't really put the reason into words. The presentation makes it look very final, and to be honest, if Y'shtola had to go, protecting a friend from an unstoppable enemy is not a bad way.

Alisaie I'm less familiar with (need to go unsynch the Coils for the story one day), but I could be convinced that it's more of a serious injury that takes her out of the immediate battle, rather than outright death. We still need the scene where Alphinaud saves his sister from what looks like a summoning, and I'm not sure it works narratively if she's saved from one danger, only to die later to another completely different one.

At about 0:57 (right after the first scene of the charging army, and right before the scene of Raubahn and Pippin running while a pillar collapses behind them), there's what looks like the Magic Master. Or possibly Number 024, which is basically a palette swap. (Or vice versa.)

Along with the Mag Roader-like enemies, I'm wondering if we're going to see yet more Allagan shenanigans. I don't think Garlemald has started experimenting with biomechanical monstrosities; they seem to be focused more on Magitek machinery. The various FF6 references might be another Crystal Tower scenario.
