So, who do we reckon that anthem belongs to: Ala Mhigo, or Garlemald?

The melody being present as an instrumental (possibly zone) theme and the irony of context in that trailer would make me think Ala Mhigan, but then there are the lyrics talking of unity under a "mighty, mighty standard" and the obvious Soviet influence that has me thinking it's more suited to an Empire.

The last line is "For Glory, Garlemald" so . . . yeah. There are some tentative lyrics being complied in the song thread.

People don't actually think they'd kill of Y'shtola just like that, do they?
Because even if they were to kill off XIV's cross-series representative, why in Heavens would they spoil that outright in a trailer?!

She's obviously wounded though, probably just an excuse to take her out of the story for a time and give focus to others. Seems like it might happen during the initial incursion into Gyr Albania, so pretty early into the MSQ? Think she'll recover later in 4.0, or sometime later on in 4.X?

Trailer was really good. So much to think about...

Why isn't it the 16th already????????

    Anyway, some random thoughts:

I don't feel like Y'shtola is going to die in the first fight against Zenos, or any of the main characters. I do feel like we're all going to be captured though. Someone/something (perhaps Yugiri) comes and frees Lyse, Alisae and WoL, the rest are left behind (separate wards, more security, time, too injured or some other reason) and we flee to Doma.

My guess for how we get water breathing is something happens (maybe shipwreck or Siren) that pulls WoL, Lyse and Alisae into the water and a Kojin saves us, sees we could help him and asks one of his gods to aid us.

Crap, raid time...maybe I'll finish this later >.>

Wait, so now we're sealing the other Student of Baldesion versed in Allagan tech inside something probably Allagan? Only the second expansion and they're reusing ideas already? :/

Seriously, though. I'm slowly finding myself falling into the Theodric camp. I'm starting to want someone to die: not as a noble sacrifice, but just to get f[kupo]ing murdered.

There's gotta be something up with Zenos. Remember that the Ultima Weapon was dug up from Ala Mhigo, so as boring as the secret Allagan trump card is getting (see: Heavensward), there's probably more to Zenos beating us than just really good swordsmanship.

The biggest issue is character bloat. I believe they've stated in interviews that they weren't sure what direction to take certain characters in - which to me suggests that a handful will inevitably be killed off, particularly if they wish to truly show the horrors and cost of a brutal war. I dislike characters dying for the sake of it, or doing so in predictable manners such as 'self sacrifice' but I do think there's room to get creative. As far as Krile goes, I quite like her. Next to Y'shtola she's one of my favourite Scions since they both have a level head atop their shoulders and they recognise the nuances involved in many of our conflicts. Still, a lot of what happened with them both in Azyz Lla is locked away in side story content and I'm fearful that rather than mention it in the MSQ's they might just...render both of them inactive for a bit.

I do think it's likely, too. Makes me wonder if his father also shares his capabilities - and his mother, too, if she ends up becoming part of the story. I'm banking on it being some sort of outside force in Zenos' case, though - perhaps Ascian meddling due to the hue of his blade.
