Trailers pretty much always spoil some parts of the story.

It's up to anyone if they decide to watch them or not.

It's Squeenix, they've been putting massive spoilers in their trailers for years, at the very least since Advent Children, where we basically saw the entire movie by the time it came out. This is the reason I haven't watched a single trailer except for running the benchmark.

At this point it isn't that they should know better than to put spoilers in their trailers, it's that we should know better than to watch any trailer from them if we don't want spoilers.

Don't trailers always contain some spoilers that we don't know are spoilers, and spoilers that look like spoilers but turn out to be red-herrings because of the way they are cut or juxtaposed? It works that way with Movies, so I presume it works that way with games also.

I agree. Now when I get to that part, I will be like, "Oh no...Y'shtola..." instead of "Y'SHTOLA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ZENOS YOU BLOODY MONSTER!! I'M GONNA F***ING KILL YOU!!!"

I don't think they'd spoil a death in a trailer. And i don't think they'd kill the game's poster child, and even if they did, they wouldn't spoil it so unceremoniously. They showed only that much of the clip to draw us in, and sell the expansion more.

It'll be something worse. She'll be grievously wounded and won't do anything for the majority of the expansion as she convalesces.
