Que Time by Role... place your bets

Was curious on everyone's opinion of which roles (dps/healer/tank) will have longer or shorter wait times on average with SB

My initial fear was despite wanting to play SAM was the ques for DPS would be an absolute nightmare.

However, without talleying up granted, I'm noticing not a huge wave of job transfers from the feedback. I for one think they were smart to change up every job while bringing out two more.

Now normally despite this I'd still think DPS ques would be longer... but honestly for the last year I've noticed if anything healers que is often longer then DPS in my server. I wonder if that'll stay the same after SB...

    For the first two months:

Level 10-50: No change in general, maybe DPS will have to wait a bit longer.

Level 50-60: 45 - 120 minutes of wait time for DPS, Healers and Tanks will have instant queue or wait 1-5 minutes maximum.

Level 60-70: DPS will wait around 20-45 minutes, Healers will wait around 5-15 minutes and Tanks will get instant queue.

After two months, most players will either go back to their previous main (this will affect the queue alot) or they will like the new DPS classes and stick with it, which means less Healers and Tanks.

    15-50: as usual
    50-60: DPS ∞, Tank/Heal 10seconds. PotD win.
    60-70: DPS ∞, Tank/Heal 10seconds.

Same as ever. Tank insta-queue. I'm okay with this. (does this make me a bad person?)

Everyone is ignoring the sheer quantity of people running dungeons that will happen. During prime time now 20 people ahead of you for ex roulette as a dps can mean 10-15 minutes, being #20 for the the 61+ dungeons for the first couple months as a dps will be about a 3 minute wait during prime time.

Well yes, but you'll not be #20 but #200 when you queue up.

DPS will have slightly longer que times at the start but things will average out again UNLESS the changes to any one DPS/the new DPS are just that fun/awesome compared to the changes to tanks/healers. And even then it will still average out to near HW wait times.

My sense of logic wants to compare the addition of SAM and RDM to the addition of ROG/NIN.

We did see an influx of new players who were rolling ROG. Tanks and healers left the job to try their hand at ROG. Wait times almost tripled (about 10-12 minutes to 28-35 minutes was my experience).

It didn't take more than a week or two before a lot of DPS got sick of the bad wait times and decided to roll tank or healer until things settled down. Thus reducing wait times overall. Most tanks and healers got sick of ROG (and the wait times) and went back to their mains. New players came in and some of them became tanks and healers.

I want to say - within a month or so - things started to level out and get back to what I felt was normal.

Also, PotD didn't exist back then. PotD is going to go far towards relieving some of the pressure the DF will experience from the inevitable DPS zerg rush.
