    Question about Subscription/Free trial

    Hello.

Let's say I got a subscription, and then it ended. Do I go to free trial mode or I won't be able to play it until I resubscribe? It seemed a bit weird if that's the case because then free trial would seem like a better deal since they could play the game indefinitely.

Sorry if it's a dumb question, I couldn't find any post about it.

If your account has had an active subscription, it is no longer valid for the free trial. It's in the list of terms for the free trial.

One (1) Free Trial account may be registered using a Square Enix account so long as that Square Enix account has not been previously registered with any version of the game.

I mean, in a sense its a good deal. But the restrictions on the trial make it less then perfect. No FC, limited chatting, grouping restrictions, no market board, no retainers, capped gil, and you can only level up to 35 which means not getting to see the cool high level stuff. And, mild spoiler alert, level 35 is an important point in the early story. Having to stop there would be kind of rough. Thats the point in the story where
youve just fought your second primal and things get complicated as a new problem presents itself
so you wouldnt really want to end there.

Yeah, the free trial is to help players decide whether they want to buy the game. Usage after the game is already bought is contrary to its intended purpose.
