You're either a troll, or you're worse than I am at debate. You ignore legit questions and evidence thrown at you and it quite frankly makes your counter arguments look weak. Come on, you STILL haven't responded to this:
You said it's also a myth healers have downtime, you never responded to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBgM...youtu.be&t=565
The sad part is many in here, extremely many in here are actually thinking this is fine. .
So you are describing yourself, nice. How could little ol' me be misleading people, when nothing I said is a lie.
The forum likes to play the game of "who is a bigger blowhard"
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/blowhard
That is everyone in this thread without exception. All of you came to this thread to espouse an opinion that you know people will dislike.
You where shown 2 different videos, and you still sit here not answering the questions I gave you.
How do you explain an AST who buffs, uses draw every 30 sec, burn/ hold/ buff during best times, using SHIELD heals, out heal a pure regen healer (on same skill regen healers have a much higher raw healing value) where said AST had more DPS then 2 DPS, a tank, and the pure healer was out DPS by a level 2 rng LB. Also to counter your idea you can't tell who does the most without a praser, my friend com the highest dps of that run before being shown the chart. So not only did she do all that work and outperform many, she was also able to recognize what was going on and who was performing and who wasn't
Oh look what a shocker, I am not the only one pointing out how you dodge questions.

I'm describing everyone, because if I single out people, that will constitute harassment. I'm never going to respond to content you drag from other threads so give up.
If you are going to ignore people's points and questions because it does not suit your narrative why are you posting? Oh I know why, because it is the text book example of a troll
Even the MSQ has ways of referencing you, isn't wonderful?
FYI tataru has short piggytail hairstyle, how do I know? because I know how to be observant, a skill you clearly lack.
gonna have to repost it for them.

Raiders always expect the most out of every player and to use every bit of their class possible, part of raiding is being serious about maximizing what you can do. If you don't like that, that's fine, don't raid with them. You can even make your own FC with your own rules.
Well, that was a very diplomatic response from Yoshi-P. His words carry a lot of weight, naturally, but all the same it cannot be denied that there's a considerable portion of the community who would prefer it if healers pulled their weight a little more and used all the tools available to them. If a healer is new to a fight or lacks the gear to feel comfortable switching in and out of cleric stance then I'm more than happy to let them focus purely on healing their allies. If they're experienced, well geared and find themselves not needing to heal very much then it is my firm belief that they should be expected to contribute in terms of DPS. It helps speed things up.
There's a funny thing with all of this cause, I'm definitly sure there are some non-dpsing healer who are whining on us that don't even know how to heal properly.
Healers who =>KNOW HOW TO <= stance dance/dps are far more reactive, providing both good heal and dps and have a better mana management.
You can say whatever you want guys, but until the day 100% of the content will ask you to perform heal everytime, any extra heals you do or any moment you watch thing happen, you'll be bad.
Not a bad healer, but a bad player. Especially in Stormblood since you don't even have to stance dance.
By the way...
How does it feel to know that...
You will be dpsing even if don't want to by using assize and earthly star ? And The Lord Card.
I guess you'll feel like you failed at your 100% healer role.
*sight*
I can't be anything else than sarcastic with everything I read.
No one is asking healer to be DPS.
It's learning how your healing action work and helping your group with what your class can do.
DOTS NEVER HURTS and they are almost all INSTANT CAST now.
Side Note/Edit : It's the same on other RPG like in the Final Fantasy series. When your party is at full health, if the healer already has some offensive magic on his toolkit, you'll use it to beat the boss. The best example is Holy which is a White Mage skill (Rosa, Yuna...).
Here, it's the same, except that it's in real time, and you're only playing one job and with people.

I'm not a raider, so you can please stop say that. Is it so freaking hard to understand non raiders wants to play good too? And maybe I dont raid since I never had time or had a group for it? NOBODY is EXPECTING people to MAXIMIZE!!!!!!Raiders always expect the most out of every player and to use every bit of their class possible, part of raiding is being serious about maximizing what you can do. If you don't like that, that's fine, don't raid with them. You can even make your own FC with your own rules.
Wasn't speaking to you directly, that was aimed at the people raging about raiders requiring healers to dps since they tend ot maximize. I'm not a raider myself, but I still stance dance in all content where I can safely do so. I don't ask others to though, I have never heard another demand it either.
